Story
Duke is a goofy, lovable, affectionate boy who just wants to be part of the action! If you let him, he’ll happily climb into your lap and soak up all the attention. ❤️ Duke may need a little time to feel comfortable with new people, but once you’re officially in the “Duke Club,” you have a friend for life! Because of his initial wariness, Duke would thrive in a quiet, predictable home without a lot of people coming and going. OAHS staff will teach his adopter how to introduce new people slowly and successfully so everyone feels comfortable. More about sweet Duke: 🐾 3 years old & 70 pounds 🧀 Treat motivated & eager to learn — Duke loves snacks and is happy to work for them! 🎓 Knows his basics — He already knows sit, down, and shake. 🏡 Quiet home — A predictable environment with a consistent routine will help Duke feel safe and confident. 👦 Teens and up — Because Duke does best with slow, structured introductions to new people, we recommend a home with teenagers or older. 🐶 Only dog — He should be the only dog in his home. Any dog introductions outside the home should be done slowly and with professional guidance. 🐱 No cats — Duke has a history of focusing on and chasing a cat in his previous home, so we do not recommend him for a home with cats. ❤️ Affectionate companion — Once Duke trusts you, he loves being near his people and participating in whatever you’re doing. ✨ Neutered, vaccinated & microchipped Duke’s Adoption Fee Duke’s adoption fee is $160 plus the $25 microchip fee and $25 rabies vaccination fee, for a total of $210. Interested in meeting Duke? Dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space are available to make the best possible match. Story
Frannie is a compact cutie looking for her new family! 💕 At around 2 years old, this girl is all about the FUN. Toys, games, walks, runs — you name it, she’s ready to go! Frannie would thrive with a family who enjoys providing plenty of activities and outlets to meet her physical and mental needs. We could see her having a blast with agility, scent work, hiking, training games, or other activities that keep her active and engaged. Frannie is cautious of new people and will need slow introductions as she gets to know someone. Her foster family and OAHS staff are well-versed in helping her feel comfortable and can show her adopter exactly how to set her up for success. We’re also happy to provide post-adoption support along the way! She’s an amazing, sweet girl who has so much to offer the right family. ❤️ More about Frannie: 🐾 2 years old (estimated) & 43 pounds 🎾 Active & playful — Frannie loves toys, games, walks, runs, and anything fun! 🌿 Plenty of activities & outlets — She’ll thrive with opportunities to stay active, explore, play, and use her natural abilities. Agility, scent work, hiking, and training games could all be great ways to meet her needs. 🛋️ Snuggly — Frannie loves getting cozy with her people. 🏡 Quiet home — She would do best without a lot of people coming and going. 👦 Teens and up — Due to her excitable jumping (once she’s settled in), and initial caution with new people, we recommend a home with teenagers or older. 🐶 Dog social, with some management needed — Frannie enjoys other dogs but doesn’t always know how to take breaks during play. She may be happiest as the only dog in the home, with appropriate dog friends for supervised playdates. Think “playmate, not roommate!” 🐱 No cats — Frannie will chase cats, so we do not recommend her for a home with cats. ✨ Spayed, up to date on vaccinations & microchipped Frannie’s Adoption Fee Frannie’s adoption fee is $160 plus the $25 microchip fee and $25 rabies vaccination fee, for a total of $210. Interested in meeting Frannie? Dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space are available to make the best possible match.
