Story
Layla is a 3-year-old female German Shepherd mix who must be spayed before adoption.  She was brought to PAHS by county animal control and no one claimed her.  Layla has a very light cream colored coat with slight black highlights; and she weighs 66 pounds.  This super pretty lady is very timid and shy--but warms up quickly to kindness.  Layla is loving and would be great with children and other dogs.  She deserves to have an adopter who will patient with her until she becomes more confident.  Layla is going to make some devoted adopter a wonderful new companion.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  February 6, 2026, 4:09 pm

Story
Our family is moving overseas worried for safety and health of our beloved girl. She will come with her kennel, dog bed, large outdoor food container & her chew toys. She is 3 yrs old as of Jan '26. She has been indoor trained with & without her kennel & is very well behaved. She is great with kids. She gets along with dogs & cats alike. Our family has had her since she was 9 mo old, she is full bred German Shepherd just doesn't have papers. We rescued her from an overcrowded & abusive home, which has made her timid & sometimes skittish with loud voices. She has not had any issues with loud storms or fireworks. She doesn't have any health issues or allergies that we have come across. She has been microchipped, spayed & is up to date with all vaccinations. We'd love her to go to an active loving owner.
