Story
I rescued Raya when she was 3 months old from a homeless couple. She has had food-aggression tendencies since day one. However, I have worked with her really well towards this. She’s the typical Shepsky dog, she loves attention, has energy, and enjoys long walks. She has gone through 12 weeks of basic pup training. Leash trained, socially trained with other dogs, and has a love for her owner like no other. She’s protective and sweet all in one. Unfortunately, juggling a full time student schedule, part time job, and an internship has limited my ability to give her the attention she deserved. She also has been in my room while I’ve been gone, because no one in my family wants to be responsible for taking care of her. Due to this, I feel she would be much happier with someone who can give her the necessary attention while also not having to lock her up constantly.

He walk pretty well on a leash. With summer coming this guy would love to get out on some hikes or be your walking buddy. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccines are up to date & crate trained. Maple is a good girl. Needs someone to give her attention and training. Shes been around other dogs and kids. I don't have cats so I'm not sure how she would behave around cats. Once she warms up to the kids, she's actually very good around them and loves them. My 2 and half year son loves hugging her. I've been working on her confidence. She is somewhat house trained but still has accidents. We're working on it. We're planning on moving and can't bring her with me.

He has been at the shelter since 07/15/25! Way over 100 days! 🏋️‍♂️ Super Trainable, Silly & Athletic ✨ Highly food-motivated — he’ll do just about anything for a treat! Shows no signs of resource guarding while eating. ✨ A morning howler — he loves greeting staff with his signature “good morning” song. ✨ A silly, adorable waddle — his quirky gait only adds to his charm. ✨ Bright, eager, and willing to learn — he just needs the right teacher. ✨ Who doesn't love BRIGHT blue eyes! 🩵 🚨🐶😺 Animal Reactive Teddy is animal reactive here at the shelter and needs to be the only animal in the home. With a calmer environment, patience, and proper training, there’s a chance his reactivity may improve, but for now he needs space and structure. 👶Best with no small children in the home. Teddy needs a confident, experienced leader, preferably someone familiar with northern breeds. He’s not a match for children due to his drive and reactivity toward animals, but he’ll thrive with an adult who understands his needs and communication style. Teddy deserves a home where he can decompress, bond with his person, and finally feel secure. Right now, he’s stressed, confused, and hoping someone out there can see past the shelter chaos and into his huge heart. 📩 If you can tag for rescue, adopt, or even just help share Teddy’s story, please reach out. Meet Vinny! Intake date 08/28/25 Vinny is a 1.5-year-old male German Shepherd mix bursting with enthusiasm for life. If you’re looking for a jogging buddy, a hiking partner, or a dog who’s always up for an adventure, Vinny is your guy! This energetic young pup is smart, eager to please, and highly food- and toy-motivated — the perfect combo to make training fun and rewarding. He’ll benefit from continued basic obedience and leash work, but he’s the type of dog who will catch on quickly with consistency. 👶Vinny has done wonderfully with a respectful 6-year-old child in his previous interactions. 🚫😺Because of his high drive, he would do best in a home without cats. 🚫🐶 Did not appear to do well with male nor female dogs. Once out of the shelter environment and allowed to decompress, he may be more open to a doggy companion. Vinny has befriended one of our female dogs and is now in play group with her. I would consider him dog selective. 🚗He rides great in the car and is always excited to go wherever you’re headed.
