Meet Cooper ❤️ 3-year-old Husky/Shepherd Mix Cooper is the kind of dog who steals your heart the moment you meet him. His striking blue eye, goofy smile, and gentle spirit are unforgettable—but it’s his sweet personality that truly shines. Cooper absolutely loves playing fetch, especially if there’s a tennis ball involved! He’s smart, affectionate, eager to please, and happiest when he’s spending time with his people. Sadly, Cooper didn’t always have the life he deserved. His previous owner admitted Cooper spent much of his life confined to a backyard before surrendering him to a crowded Southern California shelter because they “didn’t have time for him anymore.” With shelters overflowing after the Fourth of July, Cooper quickly found himself on the euthanasia list—not because of anything he had done, but simply because there wasn’t enough space. Thankfully, Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue stepped in just in time and gave him the second chance he deserved. Today Cooper is thriving in foster care and showing everyone what an incredible companion he truly is. He loves adventures, walks, playtime, and being included in family life. He’s the loyal best friend who’s always ready for the next game of fetch or a relaxing evening by your side. Meet Calliope (Callie)! I adopted Callie on January 10, 2024, from a farm with Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mixes. I was told she was about 3 months old, but the next day I learned she had parvo. Because of this, she wasn’t able to receive the socialization she needed as a puppy. Unfortunately, due to behavioral issues with smaller dogs/prey animals, we can no longer keep her. She has had two bite incidents with our other dog. As much as I love her, I know rehoming her is best for everyone. Callie loves playing with bigger dogs, but she is more of a “dog’s dog” than a people’s dog, so a meet-and-greet is required. She loves hiding food and toys, digging holes, and exploring the backyard. She would do best as the only dog in a home without smaller animals. She is loving, playful, and would thrive with someone who enjoys exploring and staying active. ❤️ This is heartbreaking, but I truly want to find Callie the right home.
