Story
Meet Cooper ❤️ 3-year-old Husky/Shepherd Mix Cooper is the kind of dog who steals your heart the moment you meet him. His striking blue eye, goofy smile, and gentle spirit are unforgettable—but it’s his sweet personality that truly shines. Cooper absolutely loves playing fetch, especially if there’s a tennis ball involved! He’s smart, affectionate, eager to please, and happiest when he’s spending time with his people. Sadly, Cooper didn’t always have the life he deserved. His previous owner admitted Cooper spent much of his life confined to a backyard before surrendering him to a crowded Southern California shelter because they “didn’t have time for him anymore.” With shelters overflowing after the Fourth of July, Cooper quickly found himself on the euthanasia list—not because of anything he had done, but simply because there wasn’t enough space. Thankfully, Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue stepped in just in time and gave him the second chance he deserved. Today Cooper is thriving in foster care and showing everyone what an incredible companion he truly is. He loves adventures, walks, playtime, and being included in family life. He’s the loyal best friend who’s always ready for the next game of fetch or a relaxing evening by your side. Cooper is: * 🐾 Approximately 3 years old * 🐾 Husky / Shepherd mix * 🐾 Neutered * 🐾 Vaccinated * 🐾 Microchipped * 🐾 Loves tennis balls and playing fetch * 🐾 Sweet, loyal, and affectionate We would love to find Cooper a family here in Southern California, but transport is available for the right home anywhere in the western United States. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who has so much love left to give, Cooper has been waiting for you. To apply to adopt Cooper, please complete our adoption application: https://concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/ Or send your inquiry to info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org

Max is the sweetest. He does have anxiety and does not like to be left alone. Barks at strangers from far away but once they pet him he jumps from excitement. Only downside is he pees when he’s too excited meeting people. Is treat inspired. Knows how to sit, shake, high five, down. Loves walks and is somewhat of a couch potato.

Story
Hi, I’m Yippee. Only a year old, and before being rescued from Baldwin Park Animal Care Center, I never had a real loving family and was found as a stray. Yippee is a 63 pound male Husky/Shepherd mix (Shepsky) currently with his foster in San Diego, California. He is a one of a kind sweet boy who loves playing with other dogs and brings a fun, happy energy wherever he goes. During his time at the shelter, Yippee quickly became the favorite among volunteers because of his affectionate personality, playful spirit, and the way he always sought attention and connection from people. Even in a stressful environment, he remained loving, social, and eager to interact with everyone he met. Like many young dogs, Yippee is still learning basic manners and will benefit from continued training, structure, and consistency. He is smart, eager to learn, and very treat-motivated, which makes him highly trainable and excited to engage with his people. Yippee deserves a forever home where he can continue growing, feel safe and loved, and finally have a place he can truly call his own.

Story
Pong is an adorable, large 10‑month‑old German Shepherd mix with a bright, playful personality and a huge capacity for affection. He and his brother Ping were brought to the shelter as young strays after being found dumped at a dog park at just five months old. Pong hasn’t let that beginning define him — he’s blossomed into a cheerful, loving pup. He enjoys playing in the yard, splashing in water, chasing toys, and going for walks. At the shelter, Pong loved greeting visitors and spending time with staff — he’s friendly, social, and full of happy energy. Pong is a fantastic dog who’s ready to bring joy and companionship into a home. He is available for adoption in the Greater Los Angeles area and can be placed separately or with his brother Ping.

Story
If you are interested in ARIEL please fill out an application at the link provided here: https://form.jotform.com/261996143960063 Ariel was saved from a backyard with other white Husky dogs. Ariel's left eye never fully developed so we had her go to a specialist and get the proper surgery to safely seal her eye. Ariel has healed beautifully from her eye surgery and is now thriving under the care of her foster mom who is also training her so she can learn about the big world out here. Ariel is new to receiving affection and human touch. This is why we marked the box that says special needs. She needs someone who understands that taking it slow will be the way to win her heart and she will be you most loyal companion. The company of other dogs really helps her come out of her shell and feel more at ease everywhere she goes. Ariel is shy meeting new people but if other dogs are involved, she is more at ease and warms up to you much faster. Prior to us saving her, she had never seen the outside world. We do see that Ariel is loving new things and absolutely enjoys playing with toys! She is so incredibly lovable and sweet. She is a gentle soul named Ariel after the Disney Princess. She is petite and dainty for her breed mix. We adore her. Ariel would be best in a home with another dog companion. She is crate trained, and potty trained now. Ariel is also spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Ariel adapts quick to new experiences. We will provide her adopter with further support with a series of Free sessions with her trainer, foster mom so that her new family can be set up for success. To apply for Maverick copy and paster this link into your browser: https://form.jotform.com/261996143960063 Maverick is a Gorgeous dog and so majestic in his nature. If you are a calm but assertive person looking for a wonderful dog companion, MAV could be your guy. Maverick was saved from a backyard with other huskies. He is only about 3 to 3.5 years old at most. Most of his young life he has had to make decisions. He kept the pack in order and not because he was trying to lead but because the puppies all flocked to him and looked to him for guidance and protection. Maverick is now with a foster family that has relieved him of feeling like he has duties and he can now just be a dog. He has a playful side. He gets goofy. He is still very friendly with other dogs and kids but he is also perfectly content clocking out, relaxing and being a passenger. He has a calming energy that is so soothing to humans. We love this boy and we know his forever family is out there and we can't wait to meet you. If you're interested in Maverick please apply at contactus@thecaninecondition.org
