Story
Stein’s story is one of resilience. He came to us from an abusive situation with a severely embedded collar that required surgery and a long road to recovery. Thankfully, those days are behind him. Stein is now healed, happy, and ready to find the loving home he has always deserved. This handsome shepherd mix is a higher-energy guy who loves to play and absolutely loves meeting people. He’s happiest when he’s doing something fun and getting to be part of the action. After everything Stein has been through, he deserves a family who will show him that people can be kind, gentle, and trustworthy. Stein is ready to leave his past behind and start the next chapter of his life. Could you be the person who gives him his happily ever after?Stein had a generous donor sponsor his adoption fee.

Story
Wylie is an approximately two-year-old, 55-pound German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix. He is intelligent, energetic, playful and very affectionate with the people he trusts. He loves long walks and being close to us—often climbing into the recliner to share our space. He settled into indoor life remarkably well, behaved beautifully during an evaluation with a professional trainer and has shown that he can listen and respond to his handler.Wylie also has behavioral concerns that must be fully disclosed. He has reacted aggressively in several situations involving children and people entering his home territory. These incidents included lunging and nipping, with one nip causing bruising. He has also jumped and dug under fencing, so secure containment is essential.Wylie needs a knowledgeable handler, a secure setting and careful introductions to visitors. A home without young children would be safest, although he may potentially do well with older, dog-savvy children.
