🎤 **Her name is Reba, she’s a redheaded beauty, and she’s ready to show the world she can be a little bit Fancy.**Reba is a gorgeous **German Shepherd mix**, estimated to be **2–3 years old** and weighing around **60 pounds**. She’s a young girl with a playful side who absolutely **loves toys and playing in the snow**. When she gets the zoomies, it’s like her own little country concert in the yard. ❄️🐾But Reba isn’t all high energy all the time. She also has a **calm, sweet, slightly timid side** and can be a very gentle companion once she feels comfortable. She enjoys activity and play, but she’s just as happy spending quiet time with the people she trusts.Like many shepherds, Reba is **very smart and incredibly loyal** to her people. She bonds closely and will be a devoted companion for someone who gives her the love and stability she deserves.Reba **gets along with other dogs**, though a **meet and greet is required** to make sure everyone gets along. We do not yet know how she does with cats.If you’re looking for a **beautiful redheaded girl who brings both the fun and the sweetness**, Reba might just be ready to take center stage in your home. 🎶🐕

Story
Meet Russell… the shelter’s most confused supermodel. Russell would like to file a formal complaint with management. He has the handsome face. He put on the royal blue bandana. He perfected the “thoughtful model pose.” And yet… somehow… he’s still waiting. Russell truly cannot understand it. Because if you ask him, he’s clearly leading-man material. This striking Husky mix has those icy blue eyes that stop people mid-scroll, a gorgeous coat, and a personality that balances playful and sweet. He’s the kind of dog who looks like he belongs in an outdoor gear commercial… or curled up on your couch supervising movie night. Russell’s Highlights • Handsome Husky mix with striking blue eyes • Friendly and social • Gets along with other dogs • Cats: unsure • Keeps his kennel clean (a great sign for house training!) • Loves attention and being near his people Russell has been patiently watching other dogs head off to their new homes and quietly wondering when it will finally be his turn. He doesn’t need perfection. He just needs someone to see him and decide he’s the one. And honestly… with that face? We’re still shocked no one has scooped him up yet.

Story
Frostine & GlacierFrostine and Glacier are 11-month-old white German Shepherd siblings who recently came into our care under heartbreaking circumstances. They are related to Everest and Crystal—two of our other white Shepherds who are currently thriving in foster homes and beginning their journey toward normal, healthy lives. When Frostine (female) and Glacier (male) arrived, it was clear they had experienced significant neglect. They were underweight, frightened, and unfamiliar with even the most basic parts of daily life. Despite everything they’ve endured, their spirits remain gentle. Not once have they shown aggression—only uncertainty and quiet curiosity as they begin to learn that the world can be safe. These two are experiencing many “firsts” right now. Their first walks outside. Their first moments of fresh air. Their first experiences with kind, patient human touch. While they are understandably timid, they are already showing signs of trust—accepting soft pets and taking treats with remarkable gentleness.Frostine and Glacier are not a bonded pair and will need to be placed separately. This is important for their development, as littermates raised together without proper socialization can struggle to build confidence independently. They will need homes that understand their starting point. Patience will be key. So will consistency, structure, and compassion. With the right environment, time, and guidance, we believe both Frostine and Glacier will grow into the loyal, loving companions they were always meant to be.We are currently seeking experienced adopters, foster homes, or rescue partners who can help continue their journey. These dogs have already come so far—and with the right people behind them, their future can look very different from their past.To apply, visit EffinghamCountyHumaneSociety.org
