Story
Meet Togo — a quiet little shadow with a soft heart and a story still unfolding. At 2 years old and about 33.5 pounds, Togo is another “mini Husky” who carries all the beauty and spirit of the breed in a smaller, more delicate frame. But unlike the bold, boisterous stereotype, Togo is a gentle observer — the kind of dog who watches the world from a safe distance before deciding it’s worth stepping into. Togo is very shy and still learning that people can be kind and safe. He won’t rush up to greet you — instead, he might sneak in for a quick sniff or a soft little kiss when you’re not looking, like a tiny whisper of trust. Sit quietly with him, give him space, and you’ll start to see his walls slowly come down. Every small moment with Togo feels earned, and that’s what makes it so special. He’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will let him move at his own pace. Togo will need time, consistency, and a calm environment where he can continue to build confidence. Because of his sensitive nature, he would do best in an adult-only home or with older, respectful teenagers who understand that trust isn’t instant — it’s something you grow, one gentle moment at a time. A securely fenced yard is a must for this little explorer-in-training. Like any Husky, Togo has that quiet curiosity about the world, and he’ll need a safe space to stretch his legs and take it all in without feeling overwhelmed. Togo may not be the dog who greets you at the door right away — but he’s the one who will quietly choose you, inch by inch, until one day you realize he’s right beside you, trusting you completely. And that kind of bond? It’s the rare, heart-stealing kind that makes every bit of patience worth it. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $12 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
