Story
My adoption fee has been generously sponsored! New Year was rescued off a euthanasia list with her puppies just in time. We figured what better way to ring in 2026 and a fresh start than the name New Year! New Year has wrapped up her motherly duties and is hoping to find a home of her own. She enjoys attention from her friends at the shelter and loves to lean into the pets she gets. She has a laid-back personality and a gentle demeanor. She is a smart girl that knows "sit", "paw", and "down" commands. She likes to play fetch. Meet New Year — the kind of dog who makes every day feel like a fresh start 🐾✨** New Year recently had a sleepover and absolutely nailed it! She’s fully potty trained, politely goes to the door when she needs to go out, and even slept through the night like a champ. Sometimes she’d head to the door just to hint that she’s up for an extra walk or just a little more playtime in the yard. She’s a curious, happy girl who loves watching rabbits, squirrels, and birds, and she’s fantastic at fetch (yes, she actually brings the toy back!). She already knows **sit, paw, down, and stay**, and she’s eager to show off her skills. New Year is a pro on the leash, great in the car, and an all-around easy companion. She loves cuddling on the couch or sleeping near you, but she’s not clingy or a bed/couch hog! If you’re looking for a smart, sweet, well-mannered dog who’s ready to fit right into your life, New Year is the dog for you! All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
My fee has been generously sponsored. I am bonded with my sister Fiona and have to go to a home with her. Meet this jazzy pair of sisters looking for a new family to take care of them. Fiona and Sabrina are sisters from other misters and share a beautiful bond. They love to play together and get attention from their friends at the kennel. They are active girls who would love a home they could play and have fun together in. Don't let that playtime fool you, these girls snuggle hard when they are done with their day! If you are lucky, you can join the cuddle puddle! Story
Hello, Miller is almost three (turns three on saint patricks day) he is a great dog but needs someone who is dedicated to working with him. He is very smart and learns quickly, he would do best with someone who has a big yard or a very active lifestyle he can be a part of. He loves kids and has lived with another dog (25lbs) most of his life. He is a goofy but very good boy. He has been to training, has a great recall, knows sit, lay down, shake, spin and is crate trained. He is very loved, but we both work full time and are away from home a lot of weekends and to often to give him the exercise and love he deserves. He will come with his collar, leash, and food bowls; he is microchipped as well.

Story
East is the kind of puppy who makes you stop and smile without even trying. She has a soft, thoughtful nature and a gentle sweetness that draws people in. While she’s still very much a typical playful puppy, East has a sensitive and observant side. She likes to take in her surroundings, watch what’s going on, and then jump in with happy tail wags and curiosity once she feels comfortable. She loves toys, playtime, and learning new things, and she’s already showing how smart and eager she is. East also has a loving, affectionate personality and enjoys attention and praise from her people. She’s the type of dog who will grow into a loyal, devoted companion and will always want to be close to her family. With the right guidance, patience, and training, East will blossom into an incredible partner for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start a life full of love, stability, and new beginnings.
