Meet Angel: A Gentle Soul Looking for a Fresh StartAngel is a 1-year-old mixed breed with a heart full of potential. She came to us as a stray, frightened and shut down, and it was clear she had experienced a difficult past. Since spending time in an experienced foster home, Angel has begun to learn that people can be kind and that the world isn`t such a scary place. With patience and understanding, she has made incredible progress and is ready to find a family of her own.Angel is a sweet, sensitive girl who forms deep bonds with the people she trusts. She is looking for a calm, adult-only home where she can continue to build her confidence without the hustle and bustle of young children.She has done wonderfully in foster care and continues to make progress every day. Angel travels exceptionally well in the car and is currently working on her housetraining. She enjoys going for walks and walks nicely on a leash, though she can be a bit of a stop-and-go walker as she takes in her surroundings. She has also been learning to calmly walk through doorways and enter and exit her crate and the car without rushing, and she has made tremendous improvements.Because of her past, Angel can still become anxious when exiting a vehicle and may try to rush out when a door is opened. Her future family should always keep a secure hold on her leash during these moments while she continues to build confidence.Angel is searching for a patient adopter who understands that trust is earned over time. In return, they will gain a loyal, gentle companion whose quiet resilience and loving nature make every milestone that much more rewarding.
