Meet Starling – A Gentle Spirit Learning What Home Really Means With her soulful brown eyes and tender heart, Starling is a sweet, sensitive young husky who is still figuring out what it means to feel safe and loved. She came into our care on 4/16, likely after spending most of her life outdoors, and the transition to indoor living has been a big change for her. Even so, she is showing steady, heartwarming progress. Starling is shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her gentle nature shines through. She watches the world carefully, takes her time with new people, and thrives when she has a calm, patient presence to guide her. Every day she becomes a little braver, exploring new things and learning the simple joys of home life. She does very well with other dogs and often looks to a confident canine friend for reassurance. Having another dog in the home would likely help her continue building confidence as she settles in. Starling is looking for: • A patient, understanding adopter who can give her time and space to bloom • A calm, secure home where she can continue to adjust at her own pace • A friendly resident dog who can help show her the ropes Starling may be shy, but her heart is wide open. He’s social with both people and other dogs and has shown himself to be a great companion on walks — he walks well on leash and enjoys getting out to explore without pulling or constant fuss. Arrow has a sweet, attentive demeanor and connects quickly with his people. He’s playful without being overwhelming and settles nicely after activity, making him a great fit for someone who wants an active dog that can also relax and enjoy downtime. He does well with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine friend, though he’d also do fine soaking up attention as an only dog. Arrow is still young and will benefit from continued routine, structure, and positive reinforcement as he grows into adulthood. If you’re looking for a handsome, friendly dog who enjoys walks, companionship, and being part of a family, Arrow could be a wonderful match.
