Story
Cash is a young, active dog with a heart full of love and energy to burn! He’s looking for a home where he can stretch his legs, play to his heart’s content, and continue growing into the confident companion he’s meant to be.Cash has lived with other dogs before, but would prefer to be the only dog in his new home. He may do well with slow introductions later on, but has not done well meeting dogs in the shelter enviornment. He has never been around cats. He can be a little shy when meeting new people — especially when they enter his space — and may bark at first. But don’t let that fool you; once he knows you, he warms up quickly and becomes a loyal, affectionate friend.Because of his startle reflex and initial shyness, Cash would do best in a home with older children or adults only. He’ll flourish with someone who understands his need for a little patience upfront and lots of play and structure every day.If you`re looking for a smart, active pup who`s just waiting for the right person to trust, Cash is ready to meet you.

Story
Makoons, whose name means “little bear” in Ojibwe, is a bright, independent soul with a personality reminiscent of a malamute. Makoons is looking for a home with no other pets and no children.Makoons has a history that suggests he was mishandled with a training collar, and our dedicated team is currently helping him rebuild confidence through positive reinforcement and basic obedience. Because of this, he will do best in a home that avoids these training tools, ensuring he continues to progress. Beyond his independent streak, Makoons is intelligent, funny, and full of charm. He already knows many tricks and is eager to learn more! He’s a fantastic dog with a big heart, and we can’t wait to help him find the right home—one that appreciates his spirit and provides the care he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a touch of wit and independence, Makoons may just be the perfect match for you.
