Story
Hi beautiful people! I've been waiting for you! My name is Pudding, and here is a little bit about me:Breed: Shih Tzu-TerrierAge: 1 yearGender: MaleWeight: 6 kgHeight: TBDCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: Social, Gentle, Affectionate, Easy-going I was found in the yard of an empty villa, far outside the city. The house was silent, the gates were closed, and no one came back for me. I waited there for a long time, not knowing where the people had gone or why I was left behind. There wasn’t much food, and at night it was cold. I learned to be quiet and patient, hoping that one day someone would notice me. Even then, I never stopped believing that kindness still existed. When the rescuers finally came, I stepped forward gently. I wasn’t angry or afraid — I was ready. Ready to leave the empty yard behind and start again. Now I’m safe. I have food, warmth, and people who care. I’m learning what it feels like to be loved, and I’m doing my best to trust again. All I’m waiting for now is a forever home — a place where I’ll never be left alone, and where my story truly begins. Would that be with you? Gold Star for My Vet Visi: https://youtube.com/shorts/uims6iFHEhQ Energy level: ModerateI get along with:•    Dogs: Yes•    Cats: Unknown (Rescuer says yes but no video proof)•    Kids: Unknown (Rescuer says yes but no video proof)Fears: None observed. Please be patient and supportive as I adjust to my new home.Training:•    Leash skills: Yes, though continued training is encouraged•    House trained: Yes, but I will need help learning where to go in my new homeHealth notes:I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.Adoption fee: $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always try to find a flight without a charge, there may be a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2613112##

Story
Hello, My name is Arthur and here is a little info about me:Breed: Mini Poodle mixAge: 4 years oldGender: Male, neutered Weight: 18 lbsHeight: 14 in   Arthur was found as a stray and taken to a shelter near Los Angeles. When he arrived, his coat was dirty and badly matted, but he’s now cleaned up and looking very handsome. He had only three weeks to find an adopter, and sadly, due to overcrowding, Arthur was scheduled for euthanasia. Thankfully, he was rescued just hours before it was too late. Arthur is a lovely, happy, and friendly dog who enjoys playing with other dogs. We believe he lived in a home before ending up on the streets, as he is fully potty trained. He met a cat and was a little unsure, it will take some time for him to get used to living with a cat but he isn't aggressive towards them.  Arthur is now looking for his forever home and can arrive in Canada on January 17th, 2026. Please consider giving this sweet boy the loving home he deserves.   Energy Level: Moderate to high I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: yesKids: yes but no video Prey drive: unknown/not observed. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: unknown/none observed. Training: basicLeash skills:  Please be prepared to train me.House trained: Yes but please be prepared to help me in a new home. I have been vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.
