Story
Meet Martha Washington!  Hi, there! My name is Martha Washington, and what I lack in size I more than make up for in love. You would never know I am the runt of the litter because of my playful attitude and eagerness for adventure. I will always be found with the biggest toys possible because size will never deter my spirit! After I’m done romping around until the sun goes down, you will find me being the perfect fun-sized cuddle bug. So far there haven’t been any signs of hard limits when it comes to getting along with other animals and equally tiny humans. My foster parents think--due to my love of all things food—my training should be a walk in the park. If you’re looking for a bite-sized companion (minus the bite, I promise) then apply today! Martha is currently located in a foster home in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area! (See information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.  Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2729498##

Story
Meet Benjamin Franklin!  Benjamin Franklin once said, “A true Friend is the best Possession,” and it seems like our founding father must have been talking about me! My name is Franklin (no relation) and I am a pup destined for great companionship. It has only taken me 6 weeks on this earth to figure just what I like: cuddles, snuggles, lap naps, oh…and did I mention cuddles? My time is spent perfectly content watching my brothers and sisters play and when it’s all over, I’m game to fall asleep in your lap to a movie. So far there have been no issues with other dogs or the young humans that live here, and you can credit that to my docile nature. Still too young for leash walking, but I have been making strides in the crate and house-training behaviors. If you’re looking for a mellow and loyal best friend, inquire today!   Benjamin is currently located in a foster home in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area!
