Born in December 2022, this adorable purebred Shih Tzu has been with the same loving family his entire life. Sadly, when his mom had to move into a nursing home, there was no one else in the family able to keep him. Through no fault of his own, he’s now looking for a new beginning.
He is everything you hope a Shih Tzu will be — affectionate, friendly, and wonderfully social. He gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, kids, and even strangers. He’s been well cared for, is in good health, and has known love and stability his whole life.
As a Shih Tzu, he will require regular professional grooming every 6–8 weeks to keep his coat healthy and comfortable. Grooming is an ongoing expense that adopters should be prepared for, but it’s part of what keeps him looking and feeling his best.
This sweet boy thrives on companionship and being part of a family. He deserves a committed home — ideally a younger family ready to grow with him — where he will never have to face being rehomed again. He has so much love to give and simply wants to belong.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
