Story
Red & Rosie are 6 years old Shih Tzu/ Pug mixes. They are closely bonded & must be adopted together. Both are very friendly with people. they are sweet and super affectionate. They are playful and love toys and REALLY love treats! They are extremely dog- selective and should be in a home that has no other dogs. they have been shown to aggrevate and bother a kitty every time they see one. Red is quite the jumper and can easily clear a 3' gate. They are crate trained and will use a pee pad if left inside too long & not taken out to potty. Rosie and Red are best friends but that doesn’t mean they are always lovey-dovey. Nothing to fear! They work it out in a matter of seconds and go right back to being besties. They are two sweet, funny, affectionate and entertaining dogs! Because they are considered "seniors" the adoption fee for both is $300. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 to the adoption fee (out of state, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to Your Browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=416LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Meet Reecie!  This sweet little 8 year old shih tzu/poodle mix is just a gem.  She is always smiling and is such a happy girl.  Her smile is irrestible and you can't help but smile back.  Reecie loves people, is great with other dogs and good with cats.  She would be fine with a canine companion but also would not mind receiving all the attention in her forever home.  Reecie walks well on a leash and loves to ride in the car.  If you are looking for a little companion to go places with you then you have found her in Reecie.  You will not be sorry if you add this sweetie pie to your family.  Looking for a Mother's Day present for yourself (we do not allow adoptions as gifts) then look no further.  This bundle of sweetness is ready to head to her forever home and could be in your lap Mother's Day.  Reecie is totally vetted and in great health.  To be considered for her forever home and to request an application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. (Reecie is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)May 1, 2025, 2:41 pm

Story
Fitz is a 15-year-old Shih Tzu mix who came to us after his owner passed away. He was in pretty bad shape when he arrived. He was, and still is, very skinny and he has a good amount of hair loss on his body, but it is slowly growing back. Fitz weighs 14lbs and could definitely gain a few more pounds. Fitz is a typical senior who enjoys naps and exploring the yard. He does bark for meal time and will beg for table scraps. We think he may have been fed table scraps at his former home. Even though he constantly acts like he is starving, Fitz is very picky. We tried everything before we discovered that he just wants dry kibble on the floor. And since he’s 15 years old, that’s what we will give him. He is a dog who may constantly change his eating habits, so his new owner will need to adapt to his needs. Fitz has been great with all the dogs in our home. He does not play or interact much, but he definitely is not bothered by them and does not start any fights. Fitz had elevated liver values when we first checked his bloodwork, but after a month of good food and supplements, they are back to normal. He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. Story
Bizzy is 3 years old. 15 lbs. Shih Tzu. He is a super sweet and friendly little guy.  He loves people  and gets along great with other dogs and cats. Bizzy is extremely lovable, gentle and sweet.  He doesn't really bark, he is super friendly, takes his food gently, and his tail won't stop wagging.  He's great in the crate, he has not had any accidents.  He is great on the leash, which is when he does his business outside.  Bizzy is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.   We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $500, which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.

Story
Gizmo and Lulu are beyond perfection. They are funny, engaging and sweet. Perfect amount of energy for straight up companionship. Gizmo is an 11 year old, 20 lb. purebred Shih Tzu. Lulu is an 8 year old, 18 lb. mixed breed small dog. They are not siblings but have been together their whole lives. They are bonded and look out for each other and are always together but also want to snuggle with humans at the same time. They enjoy short walks and low key play time and get along with other dogs. They are perfect for a family looking for low maintenance fun fur babies. They are spayed, neutered and up to date on vaccines. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $275 for each dog, which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption.
