Bobbie was a stray and has had a very rough life. He had no trust in humans anymore. He has grown to trust his foster family, but would need an experience adopter who knows how to handle fearful dogs. He does not like to be picked up and we have to towel him so he will not try to bite. Bobbie is adorable and wants nothing more than to be with his person. He does not shed much and enjoys being outside, but in the shade or better yet in a hole. He is ok with most dogs, but tends to ignore them mostly. He does not like other dogs in his space.

Can be sweet and loves to roll around on a lap, but also has biting tendency so proceed with caution with treats. Also, grooming may be a challenge, but must be done regularly so possibly will need calming meds from vet and must be done by a professional. This poor baby was found incredibly matted with corneal ulcers in both eyes, possibly from scratches he got from his matted hair. His eyes have healed, but scaring remains. ((He is currently not available, but he may become available in the near future. So we would like to have anyone who is interested in possibly adopting him fill out an application)) Leo's Foster family is going to be keeping him longer and are hoping that in time he's going to settle in better and his negative behavior will calm down. Please send prayers and positive thoughts for Leo and his foster family that things work out and it becomes his furever home. Please be advised that he is a bite risk. He needs an experienced handler that will be patient and cautious. This is what his foster had to say:  He is doing great with me, unfortunately he still growls at my husband. We just can’t have that not knowing what will happen.  He doesn’t like anything put over his head. You can put a harness or clothes on him as lone as he can step into them. He will wait for his food, usually sits waiting though might bark softly telling you to hurry up. He likes to go for walks, pulls some, which will get better. Likes to ride in car. Wants to be near you, either sitting with you, laying on the floor or in his bed. He sleeps in his bed at night. He is house trained. He peed in the house the first 2 days. Hasn’t since. We have a doggie door they all use. No children under 16 in the home or regularly visiting. Extreme caution should always be used with him due to bite tendency. Our prince was found as a stray. Hes about 8 years old and was found in DEPLORABLE condition. Foster mama says: Prince is very smart! He has learned to navigate the apartment without sight and has not bumped into anything since the first day (Or when his forgetful foster mom forgets to move the laundry hamper at the end of the night... Whoops! Sorry buddy.) He is also a wonderful companion animal. He loves to be next to you or near you on the couch or the bed while you are working or relaxing. He is so sweet and just loves nuzzling in fuzzy blankets. Prince would be a great companion for a retired couple, single person or family with older children. I would say younger ones might not be great because he still really doesn't like it when things go over his neck. And he will show you with a gentle bite (not hard and will not break skin, but his noise might be startling to some potential adopters. He would be great for someone who is worried about a dog running and not being able to chase him. This boy is not going anywhere! Haha We go outside and he likes to nose around the same ten feet, smell the grass, take his time sniffing everything and then toddles back inside. He is very sweet and loves to cuddle. He is going blind and deaf. History: He was completely and utterly matted, he had MAGGOTS in his eyes. What did he do to deserve this fate? It completely breaks our hearts as he is giving kisses to his foster mom and truly being the most perfect boy. He deserves the world. Are you meant to be his family? Oreo is a 2 month old Shihtzu! He came to us because his family found out they couldnt financially care for him. His foster family says:He is a love very chill for a puppy, content to be held & cuddled. Plays well with my chi mix pup. He is using the pee pads 50-60% of the time. Im not crate training him. He goes most places with me & sleeps through the night. He hasnt been left alone yet. He does whine when youre out of sight, so hes a little shadow. Hes a fur ball and prefers to spread out on the tile over a dog bed or blankets. I have 2 ppl Interested in adopting him but my husband (who has fallen for Oreo and that is huge consider this is the only dog in 6yrs that stole his ) says, no they arent worthy of him lol So take your time finding him the perfect home.
