Hello Friends . . . my name is Connie and I’m a 1 ½ -year-old Shih Tzu blend gal who weighs 14 lbs. of pure JOY! I’m affectionate, smart, curious and a self-proclaimed “wiggle butt”. My foster mommy says I am pretty much the perfect dog. Favorite Things: Connie loves toys and can’t get enough of them! She loves car rides and walks. She is a social butterfly at heart and enjoys socializing with everyone in her foster home (including all visitors). She is a big fan of everyone petting her and loving all over her. She loves to be with her people and will follow you through the house but is also independent enough to take a little “me time”. Training & Manners: Connie is housetrained in her foster home and will need to continue a regular, consistent schedule in her forever home. She has good basic manners and walks well on a leash. She is also food-motivated, which will lend itself nicely to training. Health and Care: Connie is a healthy gal and is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. As a Shih Tzu blend, she will require regular grooming. Other Animals: Connie is experienced with other small dogs (no experience with large dogs). She also has experience with cats. She does enjoy playing with one foster home fur-sibling but also likes to steal the attention away from them when she can. Children: While Connie has not been around children, we feel she would be fine with them. She, of course, would need to be supervised with toddlers due to her own small size. Ideal Home: Connie would be content in any home, whether a condo, apartment or single-family home. She has free rein in her foster home and can be left alone for several hours without issues. She’s very happy to lie at her foster mom’s feet while she is working and would greatly enjoy sitting on your lap or next to you on the couch in the evening. At night, she sleeps well in the “big people” bed (currently with another dog and cat in her foster home).
