Meet Betsy Boo! She is a middle-aged Shih Tzu with a gentle soul and the sweetest heart. She’s easygoing, super sweet, and does well with other dogs. Betsy Boo was rescued from a neglectful breeding situation in Nebraska during freezing temperatures, where her only purpose had been to produce puppies. Those days are behind her now, and she’s finally getting the chance to just be a dog. Betsy Boo is learning what trust and kindness feel like for the first time. She prefers a slow, gentle approach and will thrive in a calm, quiet environment. She’ll need patience and understanding as she continues to open up and learn the rhythms of home life—soft beds, loving hands, and the comfort of belonging. This sweet girl will also be needing a dental from the care of our loving medical staff, and there’s a chance she may end up with her adorable little tongue sticking out afterward—just one more thing that will make her extra charming. Betsy Boo is looking for a compassionate home willing to give her the time and love she deserves. In return, she’ll offer quiet companionship, gentle affection, and a whole lot of heart
