Meet Michelle, aka Shelly Shelly is a 20-pound Shih Tzu mix, about 2 years old, who is looking for a very special adopter — someone patient, gentle, and understanding. Shelly is truly a wonderful little girl, full of love and affection. Once she feels safe and knows she won’t be hurt, she becomes your shadow and will happily smother you with kisses. The hardest part for her is the beginning — those first few days when she may be timid and unsure. With time, kindness, and consistency, she blossoms beautifully. She does well with other dogs and cats and is also good with older children. Shelly would thrive best in a quiet, calm home with someone willing to listen to what we’ve learned about her and apply that guidance as they build trust and a bond. Shelly is absolutely amazing, and the person who gives her the chance she deserves will gain a deeply loyal, loving companion for life. A few important things to know: We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Dogs must be picked up in person in Bonifay, FL. We do not ship or transport dogs. A secure, fenced yard is required unless otherwise stated. All dogs are spayed/neutered, age-appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and started on flea/heartworm prevention. ##2607511##

Meet Emma, a sweet Shih Tzu/Poodle mix weighing about 24 pounds and estimated to be 10 years old. She’s a quiet, chill little girl looking for a forever home where she can relax, cuddle, and simply enjoy life with her people.Emma is the type of dog who is happy just being near you. She loves belly rubs, enjoys lounging on the couch, and will also happily chill on the floor right beside you. When you come home, she’s always there to greet you at the door, and if you talk to her, her tail immediately starts wagging. Every now and then she’ll give a few sweet kisses too. She’s very easy on a leash and enjoys calm walks and sniffing around outside.She also absolutely loves car rides and makes the perfect little co-pilot for trips around town or long rides for a vacation. She does bark if the other dogs bark, and she enjoys watching squirrels and cats with the other dogs in the yard. Around the house, she’s mostly a laid-back couch potato who just wants a cozy place to relax and people to love.Emma does need rugs or traction on slippery floors because it can take her a moment to get her back feet underneath her on slick surfaces. Once she gets going, though, she does just fine.Emma has been through quite a bit medically and has handled it all like a champ. She previously had mammary tumor surgery that removed an entire mammary chain along with lymph nodes. She also had surgery to remove a large skin tag on her head and recently had a dental with extractions.She does have a heart murmur and takes Vetmedin twice daily to help manage it. Emma is fully vetted, medically cared for, and ready for her forever family.Emma also needs to lose quite a bit of weight, and we are already helping her work toward a healthier lifestyle.Despite everything she’s been through, Emma remains a loving, gentle companion who would be perfect for someone wanting a calm, affectionate dog to share quiet days, cozy evenings, and car rides with. ##2747842##

Meet Wyatt! Wyatt is an adorable 1 year old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix weighing about 9 pounds. He can be a little timid when he first meets you, but give him some time and his silly puppy personality starts coming out! Wyatt loves to spin around in circles, bap you with his little paws, give kisses, and soak up all the attention. Once he warms up, he is such a playful, affectionate little guy. Wyatt came from a home where potty training wasn't really a thing, so he is currently learning and will need an adopter willing to continue working with him. He's also learning about normal everyday dog life. Wyatt lived a pretty sheltered life before coming to rescue, so many of the sights, sounds, people, places, and experiences that other dogs take for granted are still new to him. We are looking for a wonderful adopter who understands that Wyatt doesn't need to know everything on day one. He needs someone willing to show him the world, help him build confidence, continue his training, and give him the time he needs to adjust. In return, you're getting a sweet, goofy little boy who just wants attention, kisses, playtime, and someone to call his own. Meet Miss Molly! Miss Molly is a precious 2 year old Maltese mix weighing just 6 pounds. Molly is a timid little girl at first. She came from a situation with a lot of dogs and very little exposure to the normal, everyday experiences most dogs grow up with. Because of that, so many things are still new to her including meeting new people. Molly is looking for a special kind of adopter. She needs someone patient and understanding who is willing to give her the time she needs to feel comfortable and learn that the world isn't such a scary place. She isn't the pup who will necessarily meet you and immediately become your BFF and that's okay. Her person will need to let that relationship develop at Molly's pace. She will also need some extra patience and consistency with potty training as she adjusts to living a more typical life inside a home. What Molly needs most is someone willing to love her where she is today while helping her become the confident little girl we know she can be.
