Elsa is a 2 year old, 7 lb, white Shih Tzu-terrier mix. She is spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on her vaccines and monthly preventatives. As the least socialized, Elsa's anxiety and timid nature made it hard for her to trust that humans wanted to care for her. After a lot of love, patience, and hard work from our fosters - Elsa is now medicated and thriving! She no longer hides behind her foster siblings and started actively play and engage with them. It is truly a joy to see! Like many dogs with her background, Elsa prefers to be a pack dog. She's been doing well with house and potty training. She will follow the other dogs and go potty outside in the yard. Elsa is continuing to come out of her shell. Her ideal home has patient and loving adopters with a pack of two or more similarly sized dogs, some of whom around her age. She requires a home with at least two dogs who like play. Elsa must have a securely fenced yard, she needs a tall fence that she can't slip out of or climb over. She needs an adult only home. She does fine with cats, she mostly ignored her prior foster kitty sibling.

Simba is an exceptionally sweet and loving dog who I am no longer able to afford to give his best life to. He does have Stage 2 Renal disease that is managed through a special diet, so he needs a supportive environment with occasional vet trips, prescription food and regular grooming. He sleeps most of the day but when up is very energetic and happy. He likes long walks and a little bit of playtime. He is trained to use a pee pad indoors or on the patio if it is raining or an emergency.

Hi! My name is Bear. I am an 8 year old, black and white Shih Tzu mix. I am a big boy - 21 pounds of solid love. I'm a very easy going pup. I love to play with toys and I love my bed. I get along with other dogs and children. I've never been around cats much, but am making friends with the one at my vet's office. I like to play with my foster sisters, go for walks and I do very well on a leash. I love car rides too, and I'm house trained to outside and pee pads. Sugar is a 4 to 5 year old, 12 lb. female Shih Tzu. This pretty gold and white girl is a retired breeder. She came to us with a scar from an old eye injury, and may have some vision loss, but this does not impede her in any way. Sugar was heartworm positive and has been treated in rescue. She is potty pad trained, and will also walk on a leash. Sugar gets long well with other dogs and children. Sugar has small nasal openings so she snorts and snores, which can be quite adorable.
