Meet Sammy — A Tenderhearted Senior Searching for His Safe Place Sammy is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a big heart and an even bigger desire to feel secure. He came to us as a stray, and when we located his owner, they were no longer able to care for him. Now Sammy is hoping for a loving home where he can finally relax. This sweet little guy forms strong bonds with his people, and wants to be near his trusted humans as much as possible — it’s how he feels safe. With a patient, understanding adopter who can help him settle into a predictable routine, he has every chance to grow more confident with time. Sammy loves affection, soft beds, and being someone’s shadow. He would do best with a family who is home more often than not or can slowly help him adjust to alone-time in gentle, supportive ways. While he adores people, Sammy is not a fan of cats, so he’s looking for a feline-free home where he can feel fully at ease. He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines and flea/heartworm prevention, so he’s ready to start his next chapter. His adoption fee is $85. If you’re looking for a deeply loyal companion who just needs reassurance, routine, and someone to love wholeheartedly, Sammy would be grateful to be your little buddy forever. 💙🐾

Charlie is a very sweet but terrified little guy who came to us after his family had been in a house fire and the next of kin never came for him. Medically he was ok, just a little bit of singed fur, but emotionally and mentally he had been through great trauma and was very fearful. We will have him checked out to make sure and will give him some time to work through his trauma before we open him up for adoption so stay tuned!November 17, 2025, 4:54 pm

Meet Zuzu, a 6 year old sweet girl with big, expressive eyes and a soft, fluffy coat. She's the type of companion who loves cozy naps, quiet moments, and being close to her person. She also loves belly scratches! Despite her age, she still has plenty of love to share. Zuzu is calm, affectionate, but a little bit timid due to her previous life of living in a kennel. Adopt, don't shop! Zuzu is the perfect dog for someone looking for a low-energy, snuggly companion. Senior dogs often make the easiest pets: they’re past the puppy chaos, usually well-mannered, and simply want a soft bed and a loving home. Zuzu is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She does require wet food since she has lost all of her teeth. She is working very hard on her potty training. If you’re looking to give a deserving senior pup a safe, warm place to spend her golden years, this little one could be the perfect match. ❤️🐾
