Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Introducing Romeo, a charming 6-year-old Shih Tzu Mix with a heart full of love and a low-energy lifestyle. This 20-pound bundle of joy is the perfect addition to any home looking for a loyal and relaxed friend. Romeo’s favorite pastimes include lounging on the couch and indulging in belly rubs. His adorable snores will surely bring a smile to your face! Romeo is a big fan of human company and enjoys nothing more than being around his favorite people. A pro at leash walking, Romeo is ready for his forever home. Crate time is no problem for Romeo, and he rides well in the car, making him a great travel buddy. He will do best with continued guidance for his housetraining. Romeo gets along well with other dogs in his foster home and adores children. However, he prefers a cat-free environment and will need some time to adjust to new doggy friends. Romeo’s ideal home is one where he can receive lots of attention and affection, and he would love to be the center of attention. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and loyal companion, Romeo is your guy. Bring Romeo home and let the belly rubs and snuggle sessions begin!    Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. May 20, 2024, 12:58 pm

Story
I have had Mindy for more than 13 years - my husband got her for me when she was 8 weeks old. Her birthday is July 7, 2010. I love her dearly - we are very close. I am in my 70’s and need to find an apartment. There is nothing available now and I have no one to take Mindy until an apartment is ready. I will be at my daughters - there dog would mot be a good setting for Mindy. She is old, set in her ways and a love. Other than hearing loss she is heslthy. Mindy needs love and cuddle time on her terms. She is my sweet girl and needs loving companionship as she grows old.
