He is 2 years old and a very small 13 pounds. We all thought he barely weighed 10 pounds. How in the world could someone put this adorable little guy out in the streets? He was so matted and dirty and no microchip and after posting him on social media looking for his owner, no one came forward. I am honored to have him in my home, no faults for him, a total and complete package. He is routine, he knows where his house is and when you let him out he goes straight to the backdoor to go outside to potty. He ventures around a little outside, exploring new stuff and then comes back so he can spread all of his love. Okay, sorry for the hack job I did on grooming him but my main concern was just to get the matting off. I cannot tell you how giddy this guy makes me, he is such a good little sport. PHILLIP is non-reactive to dogs, he does not care if they are barking their heads off, he just goes trotting along about his business. There is no aggression in him anywhere. I love holding and kissing on him and you can just feel that he is so grateful. He walks great on a leash, no pulling and rides in the car without getting sick looking out the window to see what the world has to offer.Do not take time to think about this guy, he is a great catch and a wonderful family pet. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.This cute little boy is ANDY, he was named Raggedy ANDY because he looks so bad full of mats and overgrown hair.  He had been on the streets a long time by no fault of his own.  Someone on a street in San Antonio knew him and his owner.  His owner died and the family put poor ANDY on the streets.  The neighbors felt sorry for him and would take turns feeding him.  Once the winter got cold on a 26 degree night, a friendly neighbor put a sweater on him and allowed him to sleep in their gargage but that neighbor too tossed him back on the streets.  Another neighbor could not stand it any longer and called me to take him in. It took 2 days to groom ANDY with the hard mounds of mats on him and he just sat there very quiet and patiently waiting to get all of the stuff off of him.  Pictures are available. ANDY is 2 years old and 18 pounds and a great little guy.  He really likes following me around but he is pretty independent, not a velcro dog although he does like to cuddle and be close to watch TV.  He walks very well on a leash and does not get car sick and of course he still very well for a bath and to be groomed which he will need to be groomed about every 6-8 weeks. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ANTWAN is a 3 year old, 20 pound Shih Tzu male who has a brother in SONIC, a 3 year old, 15 pound Pekingese.  They were owner surrendered by a lady who started a 2-legged human family and could not give these guys the time and love they deserve.  They certainly deserve a 2nd home that can offer them love. I do not have pictures of them together but included a picture of SONIC on here and you can look him up on our website below. ANTWAN is more independent than SONIC, ANTWAN is the leader.  But he is still a super sweet and mellow guy, he is bonded with SONIC.  As I am writing this, ANTWAN actually jumped the puppy gate and upstairs with me and SONIC is downstairs barking for him to come back.  Neither of them are barkers, both are very quiet.  I am not sure I can separate them and I am evaluating them while they are in my home.  They do play with other dogs but they stick by each other.  ANTWAN is the more outgoing independent one while SONIC is more of a cuddle bug baby. ANTWAN will need to be groomed regularly to prevent matting that hurts them.  He came to me extremely overgrown with mats and he was such a great boy at allowing me to shave him down.  I will get more pictures of him once I have completed his grooming but please overlook my handy work, I am no groomer. Both of them crave attention and love and they are very well-mannered.  They walk well on a leash and ride in the car without getting sick.  For the time being I would love for them to go to the same home together as the owner told me they have been together all of their lives. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.I just cannot seem to get good pictures of him but do not hold it against him.  He is a pretty boy that will not sit still and pose!  ANTWAN is a 3 year old, 16 pound pure breed Shih Tzu who is better in person than his pictures appear. He is quiet, crate and potty trained, he rides in the car without getting sick and he walks well on a leash.  He learns quickly and adjust well to new environments.  ANTWAN was owner surrendered with his partner SONIC who is also posted on here and needs a home.  They do NOT need to be adopted together but each one of them would love to have a doggy playmate in the home.  Their previous owner welcomed a 2-legged human into her home and felt she did not have time to devote to their 2 dogs. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.This stout short & stocky guy reminds me of a heavy and strong TANK so that is what I named him.  He is 35 pounds and a medium-small dog that is 5 years old and just built sturdy and solid.  He has a bit of Shih Tzu in him with that Terrier.  Now his personality is just the opposite, he is sooooo well-mannered with a curious behavior.  He follows me around like a student waiting for me to guide him and teach him what to do.  TANK is mellow, very quiet and just goes with the flow.  He never bothers the other foster dogs and they do not bother him.  He is crate and potty trained, walks well on a leash and jumps right in the car ready to go wherever. This guy would be a great first dog or a dog for someone who is not that active because the daily maintenance on him is very low.  He does enjoy a leisurely walk though because he likes to sightsee. We know he is some type of terrier mix but not sure what kind and he will probably need to be groomed every 3-4 months to keep his pretty golden coat looking good. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Meet JERRY, a very happy guy who simply gets along with everyone, humans and dogs, big and small.  JERRY is a Papillon mix with a very soft coat to go along with his soft soul.  He is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 10 pounds. This guy was left behind at an apartment complex when his owners moved out and I cannot make any sense of why they did not take him because I have not had any trouble out of him.  He is quiet, crate and potty trained and walks well on a leash.  There is no aggression in him anywhere, he shares his food bowl and his toys with the other dogs. He lives to cuddle with you and at 10 pounds he is easy to pick up and he will not grow any bigger.  You can take him everywhere and expect a well-mannered gentleman at all times. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Okay, this little boy came with his name AVIS as an owner surrender!!!  But he does not respond to the name at all.  Even when he laying on my side relaxing does he respond to his name.  He loves to lay with you and cuddle but he is very obedient when you put him down because you need some room for yourself. AVIS is a 3 1/2 year old, 15 pound Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu.  The owner swore him as a Shih Tzu but he vet determined that he is mixed with Lhasa Apso.  Truth is he is just a mixture of beauty!!  And his temperament is sooooo sweet.  He was a bit shy when I first got him and he needed a few days to adjust before he became comfortable enough to run around with the other foster dogs.  He doesn't bother them and they do not bother him although he seems to enjoy watching them play.  He came from a home with a 12 year old dog. AVIS was owner surrendered because of some major lifestyle changes and she could no longer care for him.  In the past few months he has been living in several different environments.  I bet he would just like to be normal and stable in a loving home.  AVIS only had the 1 owner since he was a baby. He walks great on a leash, no pulling and he walks at your pace.  AVIS is a very easy going guy.  He for sure needs to be groomed but if I groom him it will be more of a hack job!!
