Although she has manageable medical problems, she loves everyone and loves to just be with a human. Penny is available to hospice foster through the shelter. She would prefer to be the only dog in the family and no children under 15.

Summer Breeze...makes me feel fine...blowing through the jasmine in my miiiiinnnd My foster mumsie sings that to me because she says I remind her of that song ....I'm like a warm Summer Breeze coming to bring you out of your winter woes. I make friends with all the dogs big and small, I like cats,I love kids,and I am gentle, wiggle butt of happiness all the time. My foster mumsie says another big bonus is that I'm like a shihtzu for someone on a budget... I have the cute squishy face and none of that long hair that has to be continuously groomed. Win-win! Summer is a wonderful little Shihtzu mix of some such. She is approx a year old and 14lbs grown. She is extremely easy,happy,and affectionate. She gets along with all of my dogs and fosters ,my cats,and the neighbor kids love her. They are at my door daily to see if she can come out and play. Summer recalls like a dream and doesn't run off if not on leash,but she also has great leash skills now. She is kennel trained and sleeps overnight in her kennel. She loves toys and to play, starting to learn fetch with little smaller 's. She is very gentle and would be perfect for a family even with small children. She is still working on her potty training, but is learning fast. She is maybe medium energy. While she does love to play and bounce around she also can just sit on your lap while watching a movie. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

This girl is ready for her new home ! She came in after being on the run for 3 weeks and finally trapped. Her coat had some kind of tar or tree sap all over and oh the fleas. She went into labor and delivered 2 premature, deceased pups, so we headed right to the vet. An x-ray showed 4 more pups. A c-section was performed and while we were able to get the 4 to breathe and come around they looked like the other 2 that had passed. Apparently, she was aborting the litter. 3 of the 4 passed within 24 hours. The lungs are last to mature and their little lungs just couldn't do the job. But...one little guy was giving it his all. He would nurse off of mom and be bottle fed and had to be kept in the incubator to keep his temp up. He was a little baldy when he was born, but that filled in pretty fast. And he made it and is now in a loving forever home. She has made great strides at getting used to house life and enjoys running around the fenced yard. She now wants affection and is developing a loving personality. Patsy is probably 3 yrs old and just under 20lbs. She needs a fenced yard, no exceptions, a home that is willing to let her settle in and probably no little kids would be best. She has never shown aggression, just more fear than anything. Patsy is current on all vetcare and has had a dental, along with 14 rotten teeth removed. She was just groomed and did wonderful. Her adoption fee is $400.00.
