Meet Tammy! This adorable little Shih Tzu is almost 6 years old and only weighs 10lbs, the perfect size for being cuddled up in your lap! Rescued from a puppy mill situation, Tammy is a little cautious around new things, but that doesn't stop her from wagging her tail happily and being brave enough to explore her environment. Tammy is quickly picking up on potty training, regularly going out in the yard. She also does well in her crate, sometimes choosing to nap in there throughout the day. Toys are all new to Tammy, but she is excited to learn more about them! She absolutely loves treats and will do a happy dance when she is excited. She loves other dogs and would probably be fine with cats too! She has never walked on a leash before, but her foster mom is confident that with a little time and patience she will pick up on it quickly. She is a little nervous about being picked up but enjoys being pet and is slowly learning what it is like to be loved! Despite her past, Tammy has a lot of pep in her step! I'm a shi-chi, born on January 11, 2025. I'm a happy, friendly, bouncy little guy that dances around his food bowl when he eats. I get along well with other dogs and cats. Because I'm so little, big dogs scare me a little and sometimes play too rough. I am working on going potty outside and am very eager to please. I haven't made any messes in my crate! I love falling asleep on a warm lap. Bugsy's prior home was not able to care for him so I'm giving him a safe place to stay while searching for his forever home. He's been an absolute sweetheart, always wants to sleep on my lap. He's already learned that when I say Go Potty when we're outside that it means to squat and pee. Very smart little guy. He's had his first set of shots.

Chewie(short for Chewbacca) is an approximately 3 year old Shih Tzu mix. He is up to date on shots and scheduled for his neuter and dental cleaning, which will be covered by the rescue at Auglaize Animal Hospital in Wapakoneta. He wants to be with his person all the time and is good with other dogs. He was a street dog in TX so we are still working on potty training but he is doing very well! He loves to go bye bye and does well on short trips in the car and walks great on a leash.
