You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Have you ever wanted an opinionated, cranky, one-eyed dog? Well George is your man!This spunky dude can be particular about who gets to be his best bud. If George is feeling friendly and cuddly, he shows it with gusto. If he isn't, he is also pretty clear to just give him space. George is a good house guest, not taking up much space and enjoying sun spots to nap in. He likes a cozy rug or blanket and will nap for long stretches of time. He is housetrained and clean in his crate. He also likes riding in the car as long as he can take a nap while you drive. George is a good fit for someone who doesn't have kids, and doesn't want to constantly pet and snuggle with their dog. When George wants to be left alone he will growl, and if you don't heed that warning, he WILL bite. His communication is clear. As long as you pay attention to what he's saying, he's a very easy housemate. His fosters have taken to calling him Pirate George because of his personality and one-eyed look. He'll definitely steal your heart if you understand him and give him a chance. George recently went to PetSense in Madison Heights and got a full groom for the first time in a long time. Melissa was amazing and George responded well to her, allowing her to get him a much needed hair cut, nail trim and bath. George is being fostered at Camp Merricks.
