PENDING ADOPTION AS OF 10/19/2024: This little dad came into rescue with his two 12 wk old babies. They were all abandoned in a carrier enclosure. We are still getting to know them but will update when we have more info available. Current weight approximation is 5 lbs. and 2 years of age as of 9/18/23. Meet Belly 🐾 Belly is a 9-year-old Chihuahua–Australian Shepherd mix with one striking blue eye that perfectly reflects how unique she is. She’s a sensitive, loyal rescue who thrives on human companionship and forms deep bonds with her people. She can be anxious in new situations and may be reserved at first, but with time, patience, and a calm environment, she truly opens up. Once she feels safe, she is incredibly loving, devoted, and happiest simply being near her person. Belly would do best in an adult-only home, as she is not comfortable around children, which is why we are lovingly seeking a new home for her. She can warm up to some dogs but has a strong, alpha personality and would do best with an experienced owner who understands dog dynamics—either as an only pet or with the right canine companion. Though she’s 9 years old, she still has so much love to give and plenty of affection to share. She’s looking for a calm, patient home where she can feel secure
