Hi! My name is Nika. I am a 12 year old female Shih Tzu. I was recently surrendered to a shelter by no fault of my own. The shelter helped to get me healthy with a dental and a mastectomy. I am having one of my eyes removed soon, but that won't slow me down! I would like to have a doggie playmate and a fenced yard. I am deaf and it helps me having a buddy around and the fence will keep me safe. My foster Mom says I am adorable and such a sweet pup. I would have to agree with her, I am great! I am having so much fun with my foster siblings. Young kids probably aren't a good fit for me, since I am easily startled being deaf.If you are looking for another member of your family, please fill out an application for ME! I can't wait to find my furever home.All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Meet Willow! She is a sweet 15 year old shih tzu mix lady. Don't let her age fool you, she has a lot of sassy and spunk. Willow does great with other dogs, loves her people, but is a little leery of quick movements, so kids 12 and up would be best. Cats are unknown, but we don't anticipate any issues. She is house/kennel trained and is a perfect work from home supervisor and TV binge watching partner. Peanut is a 2 year old, 12lb Chihuahua mix with a big personality packed into a little body. He is a very active boy who loves to play and enjoys going for walks to burn off his energy. Peanut is still learning his manners he will need some continued work with jumping up and house training, as he spent much of his time kenneled but he is smart and eager to learn with consistency and patience.Once Peanut gets to know you, he is incredibly sweet and snuggly and enjoys being close to his person. He can be intimidated by strangers, so he is looking for a calm, low traffic home where he can feel safe and build confidence at his own pace. With a loving, understanding family, Peanut will make a loyal and affectionate companion.His adoption fee is $250.
