Story
Hi! I’m Bijou, a 7-year-old Chihuahua/Pug mix with a beautiful brindle coat, a sturdy 19-pound frame, and a personality that’s equal parts independent, snuggly, and just a little bit bossy. I’m looking for a new home because my person has permanently moved into assisted living and can no longer care for me. I’ve been well loved, and now I’m hoping to find someone who wants a loyal little companion to share their days with. My favorite things are pretty simple: going for walks, snuggling on the couch, looking out the window, riding in the car, and hanging out with my people. I don’t need constant entertainment—I’d just really like someone who is home most of the time and wants a buddy nearby. I’m housetrained, crate trained, leash trained, and I know sit, off, out, and come. I even attended puppy school! I’ve lived with dogs, cats, and children, including young kids. I’m generally pretty aloof with other dogs, although I’ve been known to wrestle with my current doggy housemate. Cats may get a bark or growl from me, and while I can live with other animals, I’d probably be happiest as your one-and-only. More attention for Bijou! I take my neighborhood-watch duties seriously. If someone approaches the house, I’ll make sure you know about it. I’m protective of my space and can be reserved with people I don’t know, but with my people I’m gentle, playful, and wonderfully snuggly. Loud noises can make me nervous, so I appreciate a little reassurance when things get noisy. I’d love a fenced yard, regular walks, a comfy couch, and most importantly, someone who wants my company. Give me a little time to settle in, and I think we could make a pretty great team.

Story
Hi there! My name is Juno, and I'm a 7-year-old Chihuahua with 11 pounds of love, loyalty, and just the right amount of personality. If you're looking for a little companion who enjoys playing, walking and snuggling, I think we should meet -as long as you have a fenced yard. (I love a little freedom to roam a backyard) At home, I'm an easy roommate. I spend most of my time relaxing indoors, but I also enjoy exploring a securely fenced yard. I sleep in bed with my person because, honestly, that's one of my favorite places to be! When my human needs to be away, I'm trustworthy enough to have free run of the house for a few hours. I walk nicely on a loose leash and enjoy taking in the sights and smells without dragging you down the sidewalk. I've lived peacefully with cats and have done very well with them. I haven't had the chance to spend time around children or other dogs, so I'd be happiest in a calm home where I don't have to figure all of that out. One thing you should know is that I like my meals to myself. I'm protective of my food, so it's best if everyone simply lets me eat in peace. It's an easy thing to manage, and I appreciate people who understand my boundaries. My dream home is a quiet place without children, where I can be someone's little shadow, warm the bed at night, and remind you every day that the best things really do come in small packages. If you're ready for a devoted little friend, I'll be waiting.

Story
Hi there, I’m Daisy! I’m a 16-year-old Shih Tzu, a petite little lady at just 10 pounds. I’ve spent my whole life with my sister-dog, Coco, but sadly she passed away. I then lost my human mom and am now looking for a new home and someone to love. I’m a super friendly girl who enjoys meeting new people, and I love being around my humans. I’m used to having someone home with me most of the day, and at night, I love snuggling up on the bed. I’m potty-trained to use pee pads if needed, but I can also go outside if you take me out regularly. I do need a fenced yard since my eyesight isn't great and I would not want to get lost!! As you can see, I am missing one eye, so I use daily eye drops to keep my other eye feeling good. I can see shadows but love to have another dog around to follow. I am very hard of hearing too, after all, I am an old lady dog!! I am renal food and also itch medication for my skin. I know it's a lot but believe me, I am worth it. I am the sweetest dog you will ever meet. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion who will fill your home with cuddles and warmth, I would love to meet you!
