Meet Senior, aka Bentley, a sweet 16 year old, 13 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Rockwall, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. ALL COMMITTED INTERESTED PARTIES MUST COMPLETE AN APPLICATION AT WWW.UYR.US ,SO THAT WE CAN CONTACT YOU AND DISCUSS YOUR INTEREST AND THE NEEDS FOR THIS BABY.. Hi everyone. My name is Bentley. UYR gave me a new name of "Senior." I think that means I'm special or I got a promotion or something. I don't suppose it has anything to do with the fact that I was born in 2009 and I'll be 17 in May??? My foster mom thinks I'm pretty spunky for being a Senior. I weigh 11.8 pounds. I've gone to the vet twice. My vaccines are up to date. I got a microchip. I had my teeth cleaned. I had a bump taken off one of my front paws, which foster mom said was benign. I've been having to wear this blue collar thing because of that bump, but I'm looking forward to taking it off soon. My favorite activities are eating, sleeping, wandering around in the yard, and going on several short walks every day. My favorite place to sleep is in mom's dirty clothes basket. Bentley is used to being around young children, as he used to play with his previous owner's grandchildren. He is very friendly with people who come to visit. He has not been around other dogs, and he gets annoyed when we pass another dog on our walks. He is well potty trained. He is a sweet boy who is looking for his furever home.

Ernie is officially available for adoption! -10yo, long haired chihuahua & 13lbs -Neutered, vax’d, chipped & hw neg -Dog, cat and people friendly -Crate and potty trained -Tripod -Sweet, loving boy -Very low energy Ernie was found as a stray in Seagoville along with his brother Bert and brought to the shelter. Ernie was chipped, but owners hung up when the shelter contacted them. Unfortunately, we realized soon after picking them up that Bert was hospice and did not have very long. Ernie has adapted well since loosing Bert. Ernie would do well in a home with other dogs, but equally happy as an only dog. He would be great for a senior (the rescue has a senior program too)! He got a dental, benign masses removed and his leg amputated and has adjusted very well! Ernie is a true couch potato & loves sleeping and lounging the entire day! A Chihuahua male that is 2 years old and under 10 Lbs was found stray on 06/20/26. He was found off of Whimbley in Rockwall. We have reached out to the owners but were unable to get ahold of them directly. If you recognize this pet and know how to get in touch with the owners, please give the Rockwall shelter a call at 972-771-7750 ext 2. He is currently on stray hold for the next 7 days to allow his owners to claim him. He is not available for adoption or meet and greets while on stray hold.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
