Hi there, I’m Peanut. I may be a senior Chihuahua, but I still enjoy little bursts of energy before happily settling in to relax with my people. I’m a big fan of calm days, cozy spots, and good company. I was surrendered to the shelter for having accidents in the house. That being said, I’ll do best with someone who understands that I may always need a bit of extra management and patience in that area. A consistent routine and realistic expectations will help me feel comfortable and set up for success! As you can see, I am a little... round. I would love to have a home that can give me the exercise - and maybe limit the treats - so that I can live my senior days happily and healthily! I’ve previously lived with other dogs and cats and did well with them. I prefer a quieter home and would be happiest with older, respectful children who will give me space when I need it. I’m not demanding — I just appreciate kindness and a gentle approach. I think I’d be a great match for a retired person or a calm couple looking for a loving, low-key companion.
