Story
Meet adoptable Sapphire ❤️ Beautiful, petite 6-month-old Sapphire was rescued by our team during the ongoing operation at the “Commuter” Colony. She has recently been spayed and is now ready to begin the next chapter of her journey. Sapphire is a gentle soul who will thrive with a patient, kind adopter and a friendly, confident kitty companion to help guide her as she continues learning to trust humans. Since arriving in our care, she has made remarkable progress—transforming from a frightened, hissy girl into a calmer, more curious young cat. With slow, loving approaches, Sapphire can be held and is already showing wonderful potential to become an affection-seeking sweetheart. With the right home, we have no doubt she’ll continue to blossom and come out of her shell. 🐾 Sapphire is currently housed at our Adoption Centre 📍 Open Saturdays & Sundays | 1–4 PM 💙 Interested in adopting? Please submit an adoption application here: https://www.rapsbc.com/cat-adoption/ We recommend completing an application first. Applications are reviewed by staff, and successful applicants will be contacted to arrange a meet-and-greet. These may be scheduled outside regular visiting hours.

Story
Meet Charles......Prince Charles!! Our beautiful flame point Siamese. With his creamy coat, soft apricot points, and soulful blue eyes, he's truly a breathtaking cat. Though he's currently very shy, he is incredibly friendly at heart and just needs time to feel safe.He is gentle in every sense of the word-quiet, kind, and thoughtful. Once he trusts you, his sweet and loving nature begins to shine. He would do best in a calm, patient home where he can learn that the world isn't such a scary place after all. He's looking for a peaceful environment with no young children or dogs, but other cats are just fine and may even help him feel more secure. A quiet household that respects his need to move at his own pace will allow this majestic boy to truly blossom. If you have a soft spot for shy souls and believe in the beauty of earning a cat's trust, this gentle flame point may be the perfect companion for you. 🐾✨ Primary Color: Flame Point Weight: 4.23 Age: 1yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
This stunning seal point kitty with the bright blue eyes is Zoey. She is a Siamese diva who is looking for just the right home to suit her needs. Someone who lives a laid-back life-style in a quiet home will be ideal. Zoey's new person should be willing to provide small and gentle amounts of affection on Zoey's terms (not terribly often) and also will follow a routine feeding regimen (much to Zoey's dismay). This girl knows what she wants when she wants it. She's independent and sassy. Although Zoey is definitely not a lap cat and does not often ask for attention, she does like to be around people on her own terms. She doesn't follow her foster family around, but rather she joins them wherever they are if she she's in the mood for company. When Zoey is feeling receptive, she allows some gentle scratching under her chin and on the back of her neck, as well as a few pets (but never for very long.) If you continue petting Zoey past her limit she will let you know that she's had enough. She does seem to enjoy being talked to and, with a little encouragement, enjoys some gentle playing. She isn't generally a fast-moving cat so it's almost like playing in slow motion, but she does obviously enjoy it and is entertained. About 10 minutes a session is usually enough. Despite Zoey's low interest level in affection, she is often found waiting in the hall to greet her foster family if they've been out of the house for any period of time. Zoey is a low maintenance cat who doesn't need a large area to run around in. She has had the zoomies a few times but rarely runs anywhere. Like any cat she likes looking out the window but really wants an easy access route. This girl is quite lazy! What Zoey really wants is to get right into bed with you; right between the sheets. She seems to have no interest in sleeping on top of a bed, with or without a person. She's quirky, what can we say? She is also a cat that enjoys having lots of surfaces to scratch. Trimming her nails isn't something Zoey enjoys, so having lots of both horizontal and vertical surfaces for her to scratch on is important. We're unsure why, but Zoey seems to gravitate toward the men in her life more so than the women. She is happy to spend time around both men and women, but Zoey tends to ask for attention more from her foster dad than from her foster mom. Her foster mom (despite being very gentle with Zoey) also seems to attract more sass from miss diva than her foster dad does. We don't know that she's more comfortable with men than women in general, but it's an interesting thing to note. Zoey will do best in a quiet home with 1 or 2 calm, cat-experienced adults. It will be really important that her new family can read Zoey's body language to know when it's appropriate to give affection and when she needs space. Zoey has no experience with other animals (cats or dogs) and will not be a suitable cat for a home with children. Since she's fairly independent, it probably doesn't matter too much whether Zoey's new family is home for much of the day or works. Thus far, Zoey has been used to living with retired folks who are home most of the day. Zoey was surrendered to us because her owner was moving. The change was very difficult for her and it took her a long time to settle in. Therefore, we are looking for a home for Zoey where she is unlikely to have to endure another move at any point in her future. She is turning 5 years old in August 2025, so we hope that she has another 10-15 years + ahead of her. If you'd like to apply adopt Zoey, please visit the adoption section of our website at https://victoriapets.ca/adoption-process/.
