I was living on the streets of Kokomo, and it was cold and dangerous. Nice ladies fed me every day, but they knew I deserved more. I was pulled into a foster home and am now ready for my forever home. I am a handsome boy with a purrfect personality to match!

If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.  Hostess is a beautiful 15 week old kitten with beautiful blue eyes and a beautiful Siamese- colored coat. Hostess is an absolute lover, be prepared for many face kisses and the need to get as close as possible. Hostess is bonded with his sister, Little Debbie R. These guys are an absolute hoot! They will keep you on your toes with their active lifestyle. With their active lifestyle, they love to rough house around and haven’t quite learned their manners. They would do best with a family who understands cat-play and can redirect their play bites. They will also need a little extra mindfulness in watching wear you walk because they love to rub themselves on your legs. Due to these siblings natural curious and friendly nature, any pets in the home should be okay with the lack of boundaries these two have with their furry friends. If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please complete the online Adoption Application.  If you would like to donate to this pet's care, please click here. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sunshine and Katie came to us after their owner sadly had to move into a nursing home and nobody else in the family could care for them. These two sweet girls are 7 years old and feeling quite sad and confused. They are both very sweet and love to get snuggles! They would be happiest going to their new forever home together.

Story
Meet Waluigi! 5 yrs old hoarding rescue has been at the sanctuary since he was 3 months old. All 37 other cats from the same rescue have been adopted, sadly Waluigi is still here. Shy little guy but once he’s comfortable he is the best at cuddles and snuggles. He just needs time! You will barely hear or know he is around. A home with other pets is preferred. Still waiting for his happy forever Loves cats and dogs too Waluigi is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Maggie was found in a church parking lot several months ago. She was very thin and dirty when she was found. After some TLC, a spay, and all of her shots she needs a new home. The vet told me she is a Siamese mix and has a kink in her tail like many of them have (not a health issue, just a quirk). She is extremely loving with people and will sit in your lap all day. She purrs very loudly and is down to play nearly all the time. She loves to be held and carried around the house and tolerates getting her nails trimmed. She is also very food motivated and treats will make you her best friend. She is good with strangers and quite friendly and outgoing. I tried to keep her here with my other cats but she hasn’t warmed up to them at all. She is cat reactive and growls when they get close. She also will pick fights with the (the photos show some scratches on her nose). If she could be an only cat that would be an ideal situation for her.
