Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Lewis is a Siamese Snowshoe born on 10/21/22 and he is quite the character. Understandable as he is just over a year old. He gets along with most other cats but his roughhouse can be, well, rough.  When Lewis first came here. he was sequestered, like all new arrivals. He ate plenty of canned food as well as dry food, but, since his integration into the household he does not eat canned food as often. He has boundless energy, but also enjoys lounging about. He may seem skittish when foster dad approaches, but more often just enjoys being petted.  He will respond tp foster aunt when she calls him but not foster dad. Lewis needs a quiet home without any children, cats, or dogs. Lewis is in a foster home in Novi and his adoption fee is $200.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Remy is a Lilac Point Siamese born on June 14, 2023.  He is still very much a kitten and seems to be learning some bad habits from his 'big sister' Cinnamon. Remy has been showing great improvement in accepting people and is becoming friendlier.  He gets along great with other cats. Foster dad thinks she may get along with older children (teenagers). He sometimes acts like he does not want human interaction. But his true self is rising to the occasion as he always comes to foster dad when he is climbing into bed. Remy is also very vocal when getting ready for bed. Remy loves being petted with back-scratching and belly-rubs. He will spend at least half the night sleeping alongside foster dad. When it is time for breakfast he can be quite vocal about his impatience while his food is being prepared.  Remy often entertains himself by chasing one of his many toys around the house.  Remy is located in a foster home in Novi.  All MISR cats have been FI/FELV tested, spayed/neutered, current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been treated.  His adoption fee is $200.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cinnamon is a Tortie Point Siamese born on 11/25/22.  We just missed her birthday!    She wants to have her back scratched  but doesn’t  enjoy human contact.  She will position herself to have her back scratched and will flip and flop the more she is scratched, and,  the more she is scratched, the more she will roll over for a belly rub.  Cinnamon does her best to avoid human interaction but we are optimistic that with love and patience, she will come around. Foster dad believes that her love of back scratching will eventually overcome her discomfort with human contact.  Cinnamon never gets belligerent whenever she is 'caught' but does her best to squirm away. It only gets a little tricky when her claws need to be clipped. It takes two people to clip her nails; one holding her and the other clipping her nails.  It is not an impossible task. She never lashes out with claws or bites, nor does she hiss during the procedure. She is totally ecstatic when the deed is done and happily scampers away. Cinnamon is located in a foster home in Novi and her adoption fee is $200.  All MISR cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested and are current on rabies and distemper shots. All known health issues have been addressed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Poor Sammie got lost and could not find her way home.  She wandered around until she found a group of cats that were just hanging around behind an office building. Some of these cats were feral (no manners) but at least they did not fight with Sammie.  Finally, some kind ladies who were feeding the feral cats, decided that Sammie was not feral and they could find a good home for her. The ladies took her to a vet who said she was in good health, friendly, and was not infected with any known diseases.  She has had rabies and distemper shots, is spayed, and any health issues have been addressed.  Sammie has a little nick at the top of her ear which means that she was a rescue kitty once before. Sammie’s current foster said that Sammie is a well-behaved cat.  She also recommended a quiet home with no children, cats or dogs.   The adoption fee for Sammie is $200 and she is located in a foster home in Brighton MI.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Monty is a beautiful, outgoing, and intelligent Flame-point Balinese-type kitten born on July 4, 2023. His personality is true Siamese: he frequently comments on his surroundings and hates closed doors. He also is a very playful kitten who loves to jump to high places and help with any task, even vacuuming! When he is tired of playing, he curls up on your lap for a cuddle. Monty likes to play with cat toys, but he is also resourceful in finding his own entertainment--a piece of string or his own reflection, for example. He's quickly learning to curb his kitten habits like biting fingers and climbing up legs, but he is still a kitten at heart.  So, he needs a patient and understanding family to help him learn kitty manners. He would probably do well with other pets, but he may have too much energy to share a home with young children. Monty has tested negative for FIV and FELV, is neutered, and has no known health issues. He is located in a foster home in Okemos, Michigan, and his adoption fee is $200.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Kyo (pronounced Kee-oh) is a Flame Point Siamese male and is about ten years old.  He has had a very happy life until recently. His owners love him but the other cat in the home has started attacking him. His owners have tried everything and consulted with multiple vets to help then get along, but nothing has worked. His owners have reluctantly concluded that Kyo needs a new home if he is to ever find peace and happiness again.  Kyo has had a holistic upbringing with only canned or homemade food. He has never had dried food because the vet said it can cause kidney problems.  He also uses pine pellets in his litter box. To anyone who is interested in adopting him, you will have to continue with these food and litter box requirements because it is important to keep things as normal as possible when changing a  cat’s life. Cats don’t handle change well.  You may be able to make gradual changes but should keep things as they are for a while. Because of .Kyo’s experience, he needs to be an only cat.  At his age, it will be a struggle to adjust to a new environment so he does not need any additional stressors like another cat, dog, or children. Kyo’s owners want him to have a good life and say he is an affectionate cat and loves to be around his people.  He is a typical talkative Siamese and loves cuddles and affection.  He will let you know when you have pushed his boundaries by taking a swipe as a warning. Kyo enjoys car rides, goes willingly into his carrier; will cooperate for a bath if needed.  We hope that there is someone out there who wants to give an older kitty a chance at a new happy home without any mean kitties.  Kyo is healthy and is neutered and micro-chipped. All known health issues have been addressed.     Kyo would do best as an only cat.. He is an excellent companion and his owners say you will never lonely with him! Kyo is located in Traverse City MI.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
