Story
Meet Iggy the 5yr Flame Point Siamese! Iggy has quite the crazy and unfortunate backstory. He was very much loved by his mom. He was actually an office cat where she worked, at a company in Georgia. He loved greeting everyone and getting all the attention! Unfortunately, his mom tragically passed. After her passing, one of her friends drove down to Georgia to pick Iggy up and bring him to his home in Michigan. All was well, until he found a small hole and got up into the house’s framing. He lived in the walls for several days, until they were able to get him out. They then realized that their living situation wasn’t going to work in the long run. He was surrendered to us with multiple lacerations on his face, body and paws from glass and nails from his crazy adventure. They have since fully healed, but they may become permanent scars. We think he is pretty handsome nonetheless! Iggy is a sweet, cuddly and affectionate boy. He is a pretty outgoing boy and warms up to new people and surroundings quickly. He does great with other cats and would love to have a kitty companion in his forever home. He also does well with respectful children and dogs. He likes to spend his day finding cozy places to nap, climbing his cat tower and jumping up in your lap for cuddles. He does have one cute quirk- he prefers to sleep under blankets/beds rather than on them. If you go to sit on your couch, make sure to pat the blankets first! Iggy is up to date on vaccines, neutered, FIV/FeLV negative and microchipped. He also does great at using his litterbox and scratching posts. Does Iggy sound like a good fit for your family? Reach out for an adoption application!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Nemo is approximately six years old according to the vet and has come a long way since he was found in an abandoned house living in an abandoned van. He was scared and alone and fed by a neighboring woman who didn’t want to surrender him to a shelter.  She heard about Michigan Siamese Rescue, contacted Nan and his life began to unfold. He had several lesions on his back that needed immediate attention, an upper respiratory infection, double ear infection and dental disease requiring surgery along with a hernia and nasal flush. He has gone through some tough times. Gaining his trust was a bit of a challenge but once he knew he was safe he started taking baby steps towards a new life with his new foster mom.  From a scared kitty needing so much medical attention evolved a gentle, beautiful cuddly boy who loves attention. He loves to nuzzle foster mom’s neck and cuddle on her lap for a nice nap.  He loves to be carried around the house and will snuggle tight wrapping his legs around moms’ neck like a monkey. He follows mom throughout the house making sure to keep her in close range. He is very playful and loves his toys, always wanting foster mom to play along with him. He also loves playing with the younger Meezers and romping through the house.  He loves the dog and always wants to stop for a nose cuddle when passing by.  He is fascinated with the vacuum cleaner and just lays and watches.  I think the sound is mesmerizing to him. He is a gentle boy who wants and deserves a full-time family to love him. He will do best with someone who is home quite a bit and another younger cat to play with. If you have room in your home and heart for Neemo, please complete an application today. Meet Atlas Atlas is a handsome Siamese boy with a gentle heart and a love for the good things in life—especially wet food! He's a sweet and affectionate kitty who doesn't mind being held and will gladly soak up your love and attention. Atlas gets along well with other cats and we think he'd do just fine with a calm, respectful dog companion too. With his easygoing nature and loving personality, Atlas would make a wonderful addition to just about any home. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and FeLV-FIV negative.

Name: Taki Breed: Siamese mix Age: 5 years old Gender: Neutered Male Cats: Unknown Dogs: Unknown Children: Yes Litter Box Trained: Yes Declawed: No Adoption Fee: $175 Hi, I'm Taki! I'm a bit nervous and scared right now, so I'll need lots of time to adjust to a new home and get comfortable. I'm not the type to harm anyone, I'm just a shy guy who needs patience and a calm, quiet environment to feel safe. I'd do best in a home with adults but could live with older and respectful children who understand my need for space and time. Once I trust you, I know I'll show my sweet side, but for now, I just need someone who will commit to letting me come out of my shell at my own pace. If you're looking for a gentle, patient companion, I'd love to meet you! I've been at the ARP since 4/4/25 and am currently located at the shelter.
