Meet Jake.  His owner was unable to keep him.   He went right to the vets for a good exam, tested for felv/fiv - negative on felv and positive on fiv, got neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped with Home Again. He is very sweet and loving. Currently at our adoption and business center in Washington Court House. No appointment or application required just stop by during our business hours. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 2pm. Our address is 4 Commercial Ave Washington Court House Ohio 740-335-8126.These are abandoned street animals or unplanned litters, some of older age, and many with a shy temperament. Their prior history is sometimes unknown. We make every effort to check the basic health and personality of each animal.CAT:Every adoptable cat is currently vaccinated (FVRCPP), vaccinated for rabies (if 12 weeks or older), spayed/neutered, treated for worms, treated for fleas, micro-chipped and started on ear mite treatment (if required).DOG:Each adoptable dog/puppy is currently vaccinated (DHPP), vaccinated for rabies (if older than 16 weeks), treated for worms, treated for fleas, spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm (if over 6 months of age), micro-chipped and started on ear mite treatment (if required).Upon adoption you will be given a health record to take to your veterinarian. Adoption fees are typically $100.00 for kittens, $50 for cats and $300 for dogs/puppies unless otherwise stated. We accept cash or debit/ credit card only! These fees are subject to fluctuation, if deemed necessary, depending on season, amount of adoptable animals in our program, and/or breed of animal. SANFORD is a toy-loving young Siamese cat looking for a home. He's a sweet gentle guy, about 12-18 months old and 11 pounds. Sanford is good with other cats and respectful dogs, will give you a hug for wet food and has a lot to say.  He enjoys sleeping in bed with his people. Blue-eyed Sanford needs a home with a patient adopter who will give him time and space to adjust to his new home. He's best suited to a home with no small kids. Sanford loves to be up high, his ideal home has a nice tall cat tree or perch where he can hang out.  Sanford needs an indoor-only home where he will NOT be declawed, a harmful practice that can cause lifelong issues. Sanford is fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, combo tested negative, dewormed and microchipped). All cats and dogs in Sanford's new home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. Meet Sherlock and Watson! Sherlock and Watson are a bonded pair of brothers who were owner surrenders due to no fault of their own. They are both very loveable and sociable cats who would do well in a family home environment. They are good with children, but prefer no dogs. Sherlock loves to sit in your lap and give kisses. Watson also enjoys pets but is more reserved than his brother. Both love sitting in their cat tower and looking out the window. If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.
