Story
Harper came to the rescue as a non-socialized older kitten. She used to hiss at everything and everyone, from how scared she was. Currently she's still on the shy end but she's fine when people move around her, offer treats or play with her. She would need someone calm and patient around her who is not in hurry to have a lap cat.

Story
Teddy Bear found himself living outside as a community cat. One of our volunteers befriended him, fed him, and sent him for a neuter. He had a home at one point because he knew all about living indoors. Teddy Bear is a sweet boy who would love to find a home again. Wouldn't you like to meet him?

Story
Lenten Rose has it all: beauty, charm, sweetness, love and a playful spirit. If you're looking for a lap cat, you can't do better than Lenten Rose. She would love to fall asleep and purr in your lap while you watch a movie. Or she can entertain herself by watching birds through the window or playing with her toys. She has done well with other cats in her foster home, with only a few warning hisses at first, but no fighting. She can be a little bit skittish, so a home with energetic dogs or very young children may be difficult for her. It is impossible to meet this little lady without falling madly in love with her. We dare you to try!  Lenten Rose lived with Gerbera Daisy before they were found, along with Gerbera's 5 kittens, abandoned in front of the ASPCA a couple weeks ago.  Meet Lenten Rose at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, from 12-4 on Saturday during our weekly adoption event. All cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on date appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, mircohipped, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. May 14, 2024, 6:27 am

Story
Snorgle is a bit shy at first, prefers a quiet space and slower movements but then she becomes a sweety.  She enjoys snuggles with her brother and when you sit still, she wants a snggle in your lap too!  Get $50 off the combined adoption fee when adopting a pair of kittens.  Meet Sneaker and Snorgle at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, during our weekly adoption event from 12-4pm on Saturday. Their little sister, Snuffles, is working on being big enough for spay surgery.  Apply to adopt to be first in line to meet this sweety.  All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, given a few rounds of dewormer and started on monthly flea preventative.     All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption.
