Story
Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation.  We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve.  Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.  Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  Hi… I’m Lil’ Blue.I’m a little Siamese/Ragdoll mix with soft fur and an even softer heart. Not so long ago, I was all alone outside. I was covered in fleas, my ears hurt, and I didn’t feel very good at all. Mostly, though, I felt lonely. I didn’t know if anyone would notice me or care enough to help. But someone did. Someone scooped me up and showed me that kindness still exists. Now I’m safe. I’m healthy. And I’ve learned that I love cuddles — a lot. I’ll curl into your arms, press my face into your neck, and purr like I’m trying to say thank you for every warm moment. People are wonderful… but I was still missing something. A friend. That’s when Simba came into my life. He was rescued from a shelter — a place full of noise and uncertainty — and when we met, something magical happened. We weren’t just friends. We were soul brothers. We play together, nap together, and follow each other everywhere. If you see me, Simba will be close behind. If Simba’s curled up in a lap, I’m not far away. We sleep together, dream together, and sometimes even pile into foster mom’s lap together because being close feels like home. I’m about five months old now, and Simba is just a little older at five and a half months. We’re growing fast — growing braver, happier, and more hopeful every day. I don’t want to be without him. He helped heal the lonely part of my heart. All I wish for now is a forever home — one that understands that we come as a pair. A home that sees two handsome little faces and knows there is so much love behind them. A home that will spoil us, cherish us, and never let us feel alone again. If you open your heart to me…You get Simba too.And together, we’ll love you forever. Love,Lil’ Blue & Simba *MUST be adopted together**Due to our size, no small children.* If you would like to meet your new best friends, contact the Adoption Coordinator at info@almosthometn.org or 865-236-0830. To fill out an application, go to www.almosthometn.org. If you cannot get it to work, let us know and we will email it to you in a different format. Unless otherwise noted, all Almost Home cats are healthy, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and flea & tick preventative. ****When puppies and kittens are adopted before being fixed, they MUST be adopted in East Tennessee.ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. January 8, 2026, 11:41 pm

Story
Sweet Opal is lovable and friendly and loves other kitties-she MUST have another kitty friend in the home!! Her time in foster has shown her to be very kitty friendly and needs a cat friend! She gets along with dog friends too! Opal is happy to have attention and playtime but is never too busy to miss a snuggle session. This little baby found her way into Montgomery County with her siblings and mama. From there County asked us to take them in to help them get adopted.  Finders Keepers Cat Rescue is a foster home-based rescue in Clarksville, TN, and our cats are in private foster homes in the Clarksville area. Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or have another cat already in the home. An adoption application is required to meet our kitties. Once your application is reviewed and upon approval, we will then provide the information to schedule a meet and greet with their foster.   We are a 100% volunteer run organization and have varying hours, as our volunteers work during the day, our goal is to process adoption applications within 24-72 hours, please be patient with us! If you have questions please email us at: finderskeeperscatrescue@gmail.com ##2529735##

Story
Hello, I’m Sadie. I’m a 4-year-old Siamese mix with very strong opinions about how life should be run—and let’s be honest, I’m usually right. I don’t do crowds, chaos, or noisy environments, and I’m not interested in sharing my throne with other pets. Small children? Hard pass. I’m talkative, charming, and enjoy pets… but only when I’m in the mood. Try to rush me or push your luck, and you’ll get a hiss—or maybe a very dramatic glare. But if you respect my boundaries and give me the calm, quiet kingdom I deserve, I’ll reward you with purrs, conversation, and plenty of diva-approved companionship. Sadie is spayed, front declawed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $50. She must be an only cat in a calm, adult-only home where she can reign supreme and feel safe, respected, and adored.

Story
Meet Mango and Tango, a dynamic duo of Siamese mix brothers with just the right mix of curiosity and caution. These slightly older kittens may take a little time to warm up in a new home, but their playful personalities and close sibling bond make the wait worth it. Once they feel safe, they love pouncing on toys, chasing each other around, and discovering new favorite cozy spots. Mango and Tango would thrive in a home that’s patient and understanding, ideally with older children or calm adults who can give them space to build confidence at their own pace. With gentle encouragement and a little time, these brothers are ready to become loyal, affectionate companions who stick together through thick and thin. All kittens are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and flea prevention. The adoption fee for kittens is $75. New Leash cats are to be primarily indoor and may not be declawed.
