Story
Trixie is an incredibly friendly, sweet cat who loves nothing better than snuggling with her humans (including our 7- and 6-year-old boys). She’s (about) 16 years old and spent most of her life with our other cat, Tupelo, who passed away in 2021 (we adopted them together as kittens in 2008). Trixie did well after the birth of our first two kids, but ever since our third child became mobile, Trixie has been anxious. She's fine the majority of the time, but whenever there is a change to her routine, she pees outside the litter box. Some examples of instances that have made her anxious include replacing us a couch, tiling a laundry room, and our family leaving for a short trip (she typically sleeps in our boys' room and I think the change to her routine - no boys to sleep with - caused her anxiety). After trying a multitude of different calming techniques, my husband and I think it best to find Trixie a new, stress-free home with humans who will love her.

Story
Romeo also known as Romeow, is a gorgeous, happy playful kitten who would thrive in just about any home. He loves his cat buddies at his foster home and would probably love other young cats as house mates. Like a typical Siamese he's very active and vocal and will thrive on a lot of activity. He would probably suit a young family rather than a senior. He's very quick with his claws and has to be constantly reminded how to play nice, but he will learn and there are definitely routines to follow to minimize that trait. He's probably not a purebred Siamese but you'd never know that by his looks or behavior! Romeo is neutered, up to date on shots, has tested negative for FIV and FeLV, has been treated for fleas and ticks, and is microchipped. This adorable kitten is super nice so put in an application soon because he definitely won't last long! For more information, please call the Bedford Humane Society at 540-586-6100, or go to https://www.bhsva.org/adoptables to fill out an adoption application.
