PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion.  Please note these are not pedigree animals and we have no way of attesting if any of them are hypoallergenic and as such cannot adopt to homes with allergies. ##2615991##

Story
Holly is an extremely friendly, affectionate and loving cat. Her meower is 80% broken and her meows are rare and very quiet. She is highly intelligent and inquisitive, but does enjoy a short 18 hour nap daily. She has no "no-pet" areas, loves her belly rubbed and will flop over readily for you to do so. She is quite impish and gleefully sassy, as all Torties are. The Tortitude is real! We don't know how she interacts with dogs, though nothing we've seen indicates there would be any problems. However, she is 110% an only cat. She is not scared of other cats; rather she is basically a schoolyard bully. As a rescued street cat, she never learned how to play-fight, and playtime usually results in lots of screaming and running away. As a result, our other cats are extremely leery of her. She is perfectly fine with this, and would truly be an ideal companion for any family looking for a super chill, tolerant, very low-maintenance, hilarious Tortie.
