Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated! Meet Laverne and Shirley! Laverne is an 8mo seal point siamese and Shirley is a 3yo dark brown tiger with white socks. These girls came into the shelter together and it is painfully obvious that they need each other. Laverne, like her namesake, is a bit of a tomboy. She likes to play rough and seems to come up with some crazy places to hang out and play. She is also a bit of a chatterbox and likes to know what is going on everywhere. That said, she is constantly going over to Shirley, checking on her, making sure Shirley knows she is there for her. Shirley is the more reserved one, a bit wary of some of Laverne`s antics (and to some extent, humans too). She also tends of overreact a little bit, just like the Shirley in the sitcom. What does that mean? She will give a cursory hiss every time she is pet, but that doesn`t last long once the chin scratches begin. That said, she has all the makings of a fabulous house cat, with the help of Laverne and some patient new humans to watch over them and help her to trust.At this time we feel it is in both of their best interest to remain together and need to be adopted together. Laverne reminds Shirley to not be so serious all the time and Shirley reminds Laverne that it`s ok to chill out and take naps. Both girls are spayed, microchipped and have had age appropriate vaccines, including rabies and FVRCP. They have interacted with the resident cats of the house and have done fine. They would probably be ok in a home with kiddos who respect their boundaries (this more so for Shirley than Laverne...Laverne has no boundaries).
