Siamese kittens & cats in Elm Grove, Wisconsin

Ok so everyone loves kittens, but let`s talk about adult fosters for just a minute. The challenge with a kitten is it`s like a box of chocolates. You never know what you`re going to get when they grow into an adult cat, where adopting an adult cat, you know exactly who they are. They`ve seen some things in their lives and have had time to develop likes/dislikes. Meet Toastada, an 8yo Siamese lady who came into the shelter a bit of a hot mess. Being a middle aged woman, her likes/dislikes/personality are pretty set in stone. She wants snacks and to be told she`s pretty. Take her or leave her, she does not care. Now, that`s not to say that she isn`t affectionate. She absolutely is, but if you`re looking for a lap cat, keep on moving. Toasty prefers to call the shots. All the shots. So don`t go giving your hand out to her. She will come to you if she deems you worthy. She might even rub up against you and even snuggle in on a leg. But don`t get cocky. Remember, she calls the shots. Now, you might think a middle aged lady cat wouldn`t be playful. I assure you that Toastada loves a good string toy play session....and then will promptly go take a nap. Also, if you happen to have some catnip around, Toasty will be your new BFF. Churu? That`s her jam! She knows the packaging when she sees it and is ready for you to bestow the slurry goodness to her. Better hurry up, lest she get impatient....She is not a fan of swift movements, so small kiddos are probably out, but she could coexist with another cat. As long as the cat is a beta personality and let`s Toasty run the show and respects her space.....like away from her. Dogs? Sorry canine lovers, Toasty says absolutely not. Nope, that`s a no go at all.
