Story
Meet Sassy Get ready to be amazed! Sassy has a story to tell and we sure wish she could share it with us . . . This beautiful girl has long silky hair with feathers around her face and on her legs. We aren't quite sure of her breed but our best guess is she's at least partially Siberian and maybe Norwegian Forest Cat based on her looks and personality. Sassy is about a year old and sweet as can be. She came to us with a little half tail that appears to have been broken. It has healed just fine but has a little kink in it. She is full of confidence, and gets along great with the kitties in our community room and loves, loves people. Sassy is a one of a kind kitty so if you're interested, get your applications in! She won't be with us long we're sure. She is scheduled for spay next week then she's ready to go take over her new kingdom! If looking for a beautiful girl who will fill your life with love, please submit an application for Sassy online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Once an application is submitted online, you will receive an email saying your application has been successfully submitted. Please email us at smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

Story
I am a very rare breed and currently in a foster home, NOT AT PETSMART! I need a home that understands my needs for appropriate care and socialization. Please contact us at kittyangelrescueinc@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting! SIBERIAN CAT BREED Siberian cats are large, intelligent, and affectionate, originating from Russia with a water-resistant triple coat. Known for their "dog-like" loyalty, they are active, playful, and often enjoy water. They are generally considered hypoallergenic, as they often produce less Fel d 1 protein, a common cat allergen. Top Facts About Siberian Cats: • Hypoallergenic Qualities: Many allergy sufferers find they have fewer reactions to Siberians, as these cats often produce less of the allergen-causing protein (Fel d 1) in their saliva. • Physical Traits: They are medium-to-large, weighing 8 to 17 pounds, with a muscular build and a dense, triple-layered, water-repellent coat designed for cold weather. • Personality: These cats are known for being affectionate and, on occasion, "dog-like," often following their owners around and, at times, acting as therapy cats. • Active and Playful: They are highly intelligent, love playing with water, and enjoy interactive games like fetch. • Slow Maturity: Siberian cats take up to five years to reach full maturity, retaining their kitten-like, playful personalities for longer than most breeds. • Lifespan: They are generally healthy, with a lifespan of 11 to 15 years. • Origin: Originating in Russia at least 1,000 years ago, they are a natural, ancient breed adapted to harsh, cold climates. • Social Nature: They are great family pets, getting along well with children and other pets, though they may not like being left alone, often preferring a two-cat home. Care Requirements: They require regular grooming a few times per week to prevent matting, especially during their heavy shedding seasons in spring and fall. Story
Meet Hiccup! I adopted him from Furrkids about 4 years ago. Hiccup is a tripod, lost one of his back legs well before I adopted him and the cause is unknown. He is super social and out going. He enjoys exploring on a lease, going to daycare and boarding, and get along great with most dogs he’s met. (Doesn’t like cats) He is a very confident cat and doesn’t take well to being left home along like most cats. He thinks himself more similar to a small dog in many ways, always in a lap and begging for attention. I’m looking to rehome him due to my own health concerns. I’m mildly allergic to cats and starting to expand my family, and unfortunately we don’t have the time or energy to give him the attention and love he needs. Please message me if your interested in more information🫶
