Story
We’re looking to rehome our sweet deaf kitten to a family who can give her the calm, patient environment she deserves. She’s playful, curious, and very independent — the kind of cat who likes to explore and then curl up nearby once she feels safe. Because she’s deaf, she can startle easily and isn’t a fan of being held for too long. But once she trusts you, she loves cuddling on her own terms and happily sleeps in bed with her person. She has a big voice (she can’t hear herself!), and she sometimes cries when she can’t see her people — so a work-from-home or home-often owner would be ideal. She LOVES dogs and does great with them. We aren’t sure how she does with cats. She’ll do best in a home that is: ✨ Patient and calm ✨ Indoor-only for safety ✨ Understanding of her special needs ✨ Willing to let her warm up at her own pace If you think you might be the right fit, please send me a message.

I found this cute little kitten at work underneath some pallets he was abandoned by his mother and sibling, I assumed because he couldn’t keep up, he is missing a paw and he was smaller then his sibling. I took him in for a few weeks he is friendly and loves to play. Unfortunately I do not have the time nor the resources to have a kitten. We are in the Lawrenceville/Lilburn area i can meet any where. Please feel free to message me about any thing.

This is Milo! He is the sweetest orange cat you will ever meet! Sadly my Aunt passed away last year. Milo and his brother Oakley belong to her daughter. After her mom passed away we were granted guardianship of her daughter. That being said we unfortunately cannot keep her cats due to allergies. We are looking to rehome Milo and Oakley to a good home. She would really love if they could both go to the same home but we know that’s going to be hard. They are both around the same age. Milo is ten and Oakley maybe be a year or two older or younger. They were both adopted from Petsmart and have microchips. Both are very sweet, loving and just want a good snuggle. We just want to find them the best home for her fur babies!

Story
Due to my demanding work schedule and frequent travel, I am no longer able to provide the consistent time, supervision, and daily attention these cats truly deserve. This decision has been extremely difficult and was not made lightly. They have always been well cared for and never neglected. They are healthy, house-trained, affectionate, playful, and very well-behaved. They do wonderfully with children, other cats, and dogs, and are very social and loving. There is one female cat with a new litter and one male cat who is calm and well-mannered. My priority is ensuring they are re-homed into a stable, loving environment where they can continue to thrive and receive the care they deserve. I want to be fully transparent that my current work demands and travel obligations prevent me from meeting their long-term needs. Re-homing them responsibly is the best decision for their well-being, safety, and continued happiness. This choice is made out of love and responsibility for their future. !!

Meet Pip Wowza! This little kitten is about as cute as they come and just as sweet. Her name is Pip. She was found running in the middle of a busy highway and one of our fabulous volunteers brought her in and took care of her until we could fit her into our shelter. Her eyes will just melt your heart and her purr will soothe your soul. We are in love with this confident, fun, beautiful little nugget. If you're looking for a snuggly, friendly and adorable kitten, get your applications in! If you can offer a safe indoor home for Pip, please get your application in on the homepage of this website www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Once on the website, please select 'How To Adopt' and complete the application. Please call our shelter at 706-865-4135 or email us at smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net to verify that we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

Story
We found this sweet girl on the side of the road about two years ago, and she’s estimated to be around 3–4 years old. She’s a very loving and affectionate cat, but also tends to be independent and aloof. She enjoys quiet company and gentle routines. She can get scared by loud noises and, instead of running away, she sometimes reacts by trying to “defend” herself from whatever startled her. Because of this, she would do best in a calm home without young children. She gets along well with other animals we currently have a dog and another cat, and she has done great with both. It truly breaks our hearts to rehome her, but with a baby on the way, we know we can’t give her the quiet environment she needs to feel safe. Our hope is to find her a home where she can be relaxed, understood, and loved. She’s a very sweet girl who deserves a peaceful, caring place to settle in.
