I’m Tommy, a fluffy five-year-old guy who has endured some tough times. I was abandoned and left on the streets–cold, hungry, frightened, and alone. The streets were not my home. They were simply the place I was left behind.By the time I was rescued, my coat was severely matted, pulling painfully against my skin. To give me some relief, I was given a stylish lion cut. Underneath all that tangled and neglected fur, I was a cat that had a long journey to heal.I have been in rescue for about six months; during that time, I have slowly begun to transform and gradually gain confidence.I am beginning to trust people. I am learning that gentle hands can bring comfort, that a soft voice can mean safety, and that I don’t have to always be afraid.Because of what I’ve been through, I am looking for a home without young children or dogs. I need a peaceful environment where I feel secure, can settle in and build a trusting relationship with my person without feeling overwhelmed.I am a sweet, gentle, talkative soul who has survived so much and still wants to believe in people.Most importantly, I am an indoor-only cat. After surviving the streets, I deserve to spend the rest of my life safe inside, surrounded by comfort, warmth, and love.And the good news is that I’m fully vetted and ready for my forever home.
