Story
Hermine likes to be picked up and held upright. She often rubs against your face and gives kitty kisses. This cute, easy-going brown/black tabby kitten was part of an unwanted litter born in June 2023. Hermine likes calm, quiet kids over age four, tolerates respectful dogs, and is fine with most cats. She watches for you at the window, greets you at the door, and ankle rubs. Hermine is very friendly with known people and initially shy of strangers. Hermine will let you place her in or will jump into your lap, staying for short sessions of brushing and petting. She enjoys watching wildlife at the window, playing with toys by herself or with you, and plays with the water in her dish. Hermine purrs on contact with her trusted person and periodically rolls over for tummy stroking. She has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Hermine would not do well as an only cat. Siblings are available. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. Story
This polydactly, young brown tabby was born in April 2021. She plays by herself with toys, or wand toys if no other cats are around, and enjoys watching wildlife at the window. Querida greets you at the door, follows you around, and nervously tolerates being picked up for short time. She will stay in your lap for short sessions of brushing and petting, but would rather sit next to you. She is friendly with trusted people and shy around strangers. Querida would do best around calm kids over age seven. She is a bit on the independent side and affectionate on her terms. Querida gets along with most male cats and passive females. She hasn't met dogs. She uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. Are you the patient person willing to give her time to trust and blossom. This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. He enjoys the company of girl cats, hasn’t met dogs, and should be fine with gentle children. Rascal isn’t thrilled with being held but will jump up to sit next to you on the sofa. Sunshine, a male orange tabby was born around April 2020. He was found by a resident and turned into the Rescue. He occasionally talks at meal times. Sunny hasn’t met dogs or kids under age eight. With proper introductions he gets along with most cats and he’d enjoy another cat for a pal. The foster mom says he is sweet, smart, friendly with known people, and affectionate on his terms. Sunny is shy/avoidant of strangers. At this stage, he is uncomfortable being picked up. Sunny likes playing with interactive wand toys and watching birds at the window. He has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Story
Dilly, an affectionate brown/black tabby kitten, was born July 2023. He was found injured behind a store. Dilly has agouti speckled fur and polydactyl feet. If he knows you, he is okay being picked up and held, plus reaches up to touch your nose. When you sit, he will jump in to your lap or will let you place him in your lap, staying for short sessions of petting and brushing. Dilly often rolls over for tummy stroking, and he likes to sleep with you. Dilly likes the foster family’s young dog and plays with him. He likes kittens plus passive adult female cats. He hides from active kids and is shy around strangers. Dilly likes to supervise the cleaning of the litterbox and occasionally is underfoot. He has fine litterbox habits and uses a scratching post. Dilly would do best with another pet for a friend. Foster kitten pals are available. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Story
Archie is a lovable, energetic and chatty cat. He was rescued as a kitten and is now 5 years old. His favorite thing is to crawl on your chest and snuggle, knead his paws and purr! He will spend over half his day sleeping in cozy spot of choice, then be ready for some love. He is also a hunter at heart, chasing “mice” and exploring at night. He has been around one child from infancy to toddlerhood and does well interacting but can remove himself if overwhelmed. He has never lived with other animals, and would take a bit to warm up to another cat fully (no dogs). We are just looking for a warm and loving home for him - someone that likes the companion cat that climbs on your chest to cuddle and will give him pets and wet food. Someone who will be patient in the transition as he adjusts, as he will be shy and cautious to start. One he feels safe he will love being loved! Overall, he is a low maintenance pet and he will be missed. Personal health issues are our sole reason for surrender.

Story
I found Puff Hiding under my truck in 2017. She was 6 months old and was attacked by something. She had chemical burns and all 4 pads on her feet were raw and missing. She was fully vetted and has been my cat for 7 years. She loves strong adults who give her space to just kind of do her thing. She will come sleep on your chest once she trusts you but still doesntt like the middle of her back to her tail petted.(where she was bit by something)..I have been working on desensatizing this for years and ive got it to the point where she tolerates it but will leave if you do it more than once. She is not good with the little kids (8 or under). She is fine with most adults dogs and cats. She is incredibly intelligent and strong. She runs up my cupboards and sits on the top of them :) she loves high places, but she does NOT like very young children. (Too much activity and pulling on her). I am happy to provide foot. Vet records and anything else to.m a good home for her. Thank you

Story
Charlie was found by my father under his grill/cover June of 2022. I took him into my home at that time. The vet estimated his age at 8 weeks so he would be just over 2 years old. Charlie is very friendly towards strangers after the first few minutes of meeting them. He has been a very happy and healthy fella, but just a few months ago was not quite right and was not keeping his food down so I had the vet check him out and he was diagnosed with Pancreatis, which is why I switched his food to the sensitive stomach kind. He has been great since. Charlie can be very energetic at times, but in the evening he loves to cuddle. Charlie is perfect with his litter box and was trained not to climb on countertops (even though he still does it when I'm not around). He is an alpha male and does not do well with my sweet female cat. He would not likely do well in multi cat situation. This is the unfortunate reason I must rehome him. He will make some lucky family very happy!

Story
Oliver is a healthy 8-year-old Tabby with quite stunning markings. However, an unanticipated adoption of another kitty within months of adopting Oliver, coupled with several moves to different states, have showed his inability to adjust. He has developed an increasingly bullying manner toward my oldest kitty, Lizzie, who is twice his age. He tries to eat her food and she does not defend herself. Additionally, he poops outside of the litter box, though he HAS pooped in the box. I recently had surgery and a friend took my cats to her place while I am in rehab. As she is in a much smaller place, she has seen the degree to which Oliver harasses Lizzie. He and my other male cat, Milo, do tussle with each other. But Milo is his age and can more than defend himself. And he has continued to poop outside the box. At 16 years old, I do not want Lizzie's life to be so stressful. Consequently, I really need to re-home Oliver to a loving home and be someone's ONLY kitty.

Story
Hello! My name is Charlie (9 months old) and I love to chirp! I walk around chirping letting everyone know of my presence. I’m adorable that way! I was born as a stray and because I was born in the wild, I am less trusting of people initially. I am working hard on spending time around people without being afraid. My foster plays with me with teaser toys which I love! I also enjoy playing with my siblings, sprawling out everywhere, looking out the window, long naps in the cat tree or in a comfy bed, cat nip play time, yummy wet food snacks or my ball track toy. Because of my fears, I would do best in an all-adult home with people who would be willing to help me learn to trust. Ideally, I could bring a sibling or two along with me to play with and so we could help each other to adapt to family living. Or I would at least need another cat living in the home to help me learn how to cat. I have the cutest little personality….I just need a family willing to take the time to let me shine. All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. He has also been neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting Charlie, please go to our website and fill out a cat application. https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application

Story
Hello! My name is Chickpea (9 months old) because of how sweet and dainty I am. I was born as a stray and because I was born in the wild, I am less trusting of people initially. I am working hard on spending time around my foster and her friends without being afraid. One thing that gets me out and close to humans every time is human food! I love food! I love to share my foster mom’s meals with her and it gives us the opportunity to be close and me to learn to trust. I also enjoy playing with my siblings, long naps in the cat tree or in a comfy bed, cat nip play time, yummy wet food snacks or my ball track toy. Because of my fears, I would do best in an all-adult home with people who would be willing to help me learn to trust. Ideally, I could bring a sibling or two along with me to play with and so we could help each other to adapt to family living. Or I would at least need another cat living in the home to help me learn how to cat. My foster says that I am super sweet and will be quite the charmer once I learn that humans aren’t so scary. All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. She has also been spayed and microchipped.
