Meet Bella & Guinness <3 Some friendships are meant to last a lifetime, and Bella and Guinness are proof of that. Bella and Guinness have spent their lives together and are searching for a home where they can continue sharing sunny afternoons, cozy naps, and all the love they have to give. They have had dentals, senior bloodwork and Bella has been groomed! Bella does have one special consideration: she is diabetic. The good news is that she is beautifully regulated and does wonderfully with her care routine. She receives insulin twice daily and is an absolute superstar when it comes to glucose testing. Her care is much simpler and more affordable than many people expect, with her insulin costing approximately $20 every six weeks. She enjoys a primarily canned food diet with just a small measured amount of crunchies each day and is thriving. Whiskers is happy to provide hands-on training and ongoing support to ensure you feel comfortable and confident. We promise it's much easier than it sounds! (we are working towards remission!) To make life even easier, Bella and Guinness will come with a microchip-activated feeder so Guinness can continue enjoying his beloved crunchies while Bella stays on her carefully managed diet. He’s a sweet, loving, affectionate cat, is very responsive to you petting him. He is easygoing although when he wants food, he’ll follow you around and meow at you until you feed him! Haha. He will sleep with you and lay by you. He loves all dogs, very friendly towards dogs, got along with all our 8 dogs just fine! He’s playful when you play with him, so he’ll play with you :) He’s overall a good cat, doesn’t have any behavioral problems. He doesn’t bite. He needs to be trained to not claw at furniture though. He doesn’t get along with cats so he needs a home with no other cats. He’s smart. The first time I dinged on his bowl and called for him, he automatically knew I was about to give him food. I’ve noticed other indications that suggests he’s smart too. The pictures don’t show this well but he is a very good-looking cat. I enjoy him and having him around! We’ll come to you to get him adopted, you don’t have to drive to us.
