A sweet, friendly 8-month-old neutered Shih Tzu puppy looking for my forever home in the Edmonton Region.
Before we start:
I need adopters who understand that rescue dogs are a long-term commitment of time, patience, training, and money.
About Me
• Neutered male Shih Tzu, 8 months old
• 🚫 No cats, medium or large dogs — I can’t live with them
• Thrive in a calm, predictable home
My Ideal Home
• Detached house with fully fenced yard (min. 5’)
• Chain link? Must be secured with stakes
• 🚫 No apartments/condos/townhomes — I’m vocal when left alone
Kids & Experience
• Respectful children 8+
• 🚫 No rough play, hugs, or kisses
• Need adopters experienced or willing to learn about small-breed rescue care
Daily Life
• Yard play & cozy beds
• Favorite treats: fish skin, dried fish, bully sticks
• Can be left up to 8 hours uncrated with pee pads and some Pluto TV comedy
Care & Health
• Eye cleaning twice daily
• Grooming every 3–4 months
• Nail trims every 4–6 weeks
• Diet: Royal Canin Moderate Calorie GI kibble + dehydrated raw topper
• Sometimes marks in stressful environments — belly band fixes it
Training
• Force-free training required with one of the rescue’s approved trainers
• Training cost is separate from adoption fee
