Walnut is approximately 10 years old and a petite 9 pounds—just the right size for snuggles and companionship.  This precious little gentleman is searching for his forever home after finding himself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of his own. Now safe and searching for his forever family, this petite senior is ready to fill someone’s life with warmth, comfort, and companionship. He is also available to be fostered while he waits for his perfect match. He is also available to be fostered while he waits for his perfect match. Walnut is currently recovering from kennel cough and will be groomed once he’s fully better. As with many dogs coming from shelter environments, he may need a little reinforcement with house training. Despite whatever he's been through, Walnut’s spirit is warm and gentle. He rides beautifully in the car, enjoys his daily walks, and loves simply being near his person. He would make an ideal companion for a senior or anyone looking for a loyal friend to brighten their days. Dogs are being turned in higher numbers than the shelter can accommodate, therefore many are losing their lives due to lack of cage space. We are helping get the word out of their immediate need.
